Nice place to go shooping, but best to come with a taxi or walking, the parking looks like the ukraine war has moved to uk based on how the ground looks.
Great spacious shop. Friendly staff. Nicely filled shelves and delicious fresh baked goods
Nice shop, friendly staff and good produce but is let down by the lack of self-checkouts to cater for basket shoppers. Recently our local Aldi put these in and I have visited more in the last month than I have in the last 3 years! Nothing is more frustrating than when they open a checkout and you're stuck behind a trolley shop and everyone behind you just queue jumps to the newly opened checkout!
A very clean and tidy store pleasant staff
I understand that shopping should involve paying for what you eat. However, when my one-year-old son wanted to eat a banana, I had to make a decision. Should I take him shopping and endure his crying, or give him a fruit and make him happy?nnTo ensure that I was going to pay for the banana, I kept the skin and gave it to the cashier. However, she told me off, saying that I should not eat something before paying. I explained that I had tried to explain this to my son, but he was too young to understand. I was happy to pay for the banana, so I gave the cashier some chocolate and asked her to put it on the scale. I was even willing to pay more pennies for a piece of fruit.nnThe cashier continued to berate me, as if it was her daily wage or something. I mentioned that Tesco has a specific station for kids' fruits, but at this store, the security was following us all over the store and looking into our cart. When the incident happened, the security politely approached us to see if there was any reason to involve himself, as they had just caught a thief that day.nnPerhaps my £1000 annual spending is not significant enough for them to treat me as a valued customer when I'm purchasing a banana for my son. The cashier had red hair, was in her golden years, and had a reddish face. While I will continue to shop at Lidl because of its convenient location, I will feel like the staff is looking at me as a thief.nnThank you.
