We are an independent voluntary organisation set up in 1987 to provide a range of services for people living HIV in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
LASS have been operational for nearly 30 years to provide a range of services for people in the City of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, affected by HIV.
We work to prevent the spread of HIV and to promote positive sexual health through education, training, and community initiatives. By working together with other agencies, we play a major part in developing a co-ordinated response to the challenges of HIV/ AIDS.
We offer bespoke, tailored and personalised support for people newly diagnosed with HIV (and/or offer support to people affected by HIV (for instance, family or community members). Each person’s need is different which is why a personal, face to face discussion is held so we can support people on a direct one to one basis using our knowledge of HIV and our knowledge of services and support services in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
We also offer rapid HIV tests. If anyone would like a HIV test, we can test for free.
We also refer/signpost our service users to many other varied organisations.
