Some rude reception staff. Despite phoning everyday at 8am on redial and getting through at 8.12am for example all of the appointments have gone. I was given an alternative number for a different company who come in after normal GP hours and everytime I phoned it was engaged. I don't have time to sit pressing redial all day. I know the system is broken but if you are going to try and fix it at least use something that works. As much as it's stressful for staff we need longer opening hours and weekend appointments. It's not fair on anyone, staff and patients, and I know mainly the government are mainly to blame but practice management needs to take some responsibility for failing the community. I need to see a Dr so I have now registered with a private GP service and I had a telephone appointment in 15 minutes and have had 3 referrals sent off. I can't afford it but after a life changing diagnosis what else am I supposed to do?
27 years being at this surgery and no issues. All gps are lovely, will do anything to try and get you an urgent app depending on the circumstance. Support through covid was immaculate. Thanks:
Phoned Monday morning wasn't expecting a apportment got one for 9.50am as I was in pain. Excellent Dr Murphy gave me a thorough examination put me at ease and I was very impressed with her professionalism Thank Leesbrook surgeryDoctors and Staff excellent NHS service
This practice diesnt give you an appointment when you are in pain and explain you have gone deaf in one ear! They have a complicated email system. No apps all week! Ring everyday. Still no guarantee to be seen. E mail 48 hour response but that a reply no guarantee of appt. Patent access again on line. No guarantee. Given up!!in pain AND DEAF! gone private. So sorry for hospital's as this practices apps system is forcing people to either go private or go to a and e if they have a problem.
Execellant care Clincian Emma, coming out to see me in Feb and good care from the district nurse, good visit's this week, 3 different nurses, diabetic review, flu jab, and a covid booster, and sent to Oldham Blood Clinic in Lees, but called today with repeat scripts. said on website open, closed. And also a thank you to Adele who was lovely to speak to last week.
If you have a member of your family who is very ill, make sure they see someone at this practice. If you don't, and they subsequently die, nobody at this place will sign the death certificate. They will authorise repeat prescriptions without seeing them, but not a death certificate. Well done on prolonging the pain, Lees Brook! Unfortunately, it appears I have to award at least one star.
Nice staff but I've called 3 days in a row at opening time and still no appointment
Extremely good surgery. I have been more than satisfied with the service, care and efficiency for 42 years. Can't help but have favourite doctors and practice nurses but generally happy with all the staff. The practice handled COVID restrictions seamlessly and in a very professional way. I do think all the doctors should start seeing all patients now though!
Absolutely disgusting staff mostly the receptionist. Made my mother suffer sadly until the day she passed. Always had her anxiety raised to the roof or had her crying. Stay away from here if you have any disabilities or in need of real medical attention. STAFF NEED INVESTIGATING!!
Wonderful surgery - whilst they can often be very busy the staff are always willing to listen and try to assist you as best they can. I fully recommend all the doctors and nurses based at this practice, as well as the support team working the reception and behind the scenes
