Abysmal! Been waiting 36 hours with a puncture. They just pass it on to the AA and wash their hands of you. Only interested in their processes, not in helping the customer. They told me yesterday that the AA would recover me early this morning, now I'm told they only notified them today! I have had similar experiences in the past too. Won't be using them again! Update! Finally got my puncture fixed after being off the road for two and a half days. In my opinion, they just don’t care! Avoid!
Shocking Service from day 1. The car they sent was a nightmare from the day it arrived It broke down a few times, seized up on a motorway The dashboard didn't work for 3 months, so no sat nav, radio etc The specs range of the battery was half of what I was promised They came back and said this can be affected by various things such as journey type, driving style, and the weather. Regrettably the 273 miles per charge is a maximum assuming ideal conditions. I'm getting a max of 140 miles After all this all they came back with a apology, apologies that you have had a bad experience. Now I want to return the vehicle and am been threatened with a bad credit rating What a joke
BEWARE. Leaseplan will sting you with an astronomical bill If your car is not returned in immaculate condition after 4 years of use. This is the only company that sends out countless text messages and emails chasing payment, even when there is an ongoing complaint about their GDPR process. I have never experienced a leasing company being so pedantic about small scratches and scuffs even though their accessor advised the car was in good condition and it showed fair 'wear and tear.
Strongly recommend avoiding. I ordered a lease car at their advertised price. All the contract documents were signed!!! and approved !!! by Leaseplan. Later into the process while waiting for my car I get a call to say they're increasing their prices for the vehicle by £65/month - take it or leave it. No recourse, no compensation, nothing. What a waste of TIME when you need a vehicle!
In 2019 we arranged a van on a 3 year lease with Leaseplan. In 2020 we had locked down and requested through their website, an early settlement charge as we were not using the van, but heard nothing. Some months later they gave a three month holiday payment and extended the term for three months. Again in 2021 we requested by through their website, an early settlement charge only to be ignored once again. The van had less then 5,000 miles on the clock. With 3 months to complete the lease we asked for an early settlement cost, this time through our leasing specialist, who had arranged Leaseplan. This time they offered a 4 months settlement figure even though we had informed them of the low mileage. Considering the exceptional circumstances over the last few years we would have thought there would have been some sympathetic consideration. Consequently as a business we would never deal with this company again.
Awful service - they almost didn't deliver a car which had been booked weeks in advance, I only found this out after chasing them for 2 days. When the car was delivered it was delivered with a puncture 2 nails and 2 of the tyres were at the legal limit. The CPU is faulty which causes the dashboard to disappear, including the Speedo and the fuel gauge. Took my car to get the tyres done and the garage was instructed just to fix the puncture. Unacceptable. I'll be bringing this up with management - I'm absolutely furious.
One Star is too much! Absolutely abysmal customer service! Maintenance packages claim to offer “ best in class” repairs and tyre replacement! In reality, you get budget tyre replacement and the use of an “independent” garage network which consists of small, “old school” garages you know, the scruffy, dirty ones with those calendars on the wall!. Why because they want to maximise there margins! High cost maintenance packages + Cheap and nasty garages = More profit! Literally every person you speak to at Lease Plan has no concept of customer service, they talk to their customers with little respect not just my opinion, but the opinion of at least 40 of my colleagues who unfortunately have the same company lease deal with them. Avoid at all costs!
Not Impressed. As I had very little UK credit history due to being out of the country they rejected me due to "affordability" even though I offered to pay the entire lease upfront. No contact just an automated email. I would avoid.
Terrible service don’t touch this company with a barge pole - no one knows the answer to anything or what is going on ! You’ll be passed from pillar to post and still you will be none the wiser. Also, we were fined a large sum of money for an accident that was not our fault…. So we couldn’t pay our household bills that month - Don’t even think about it… absolutely dreadful.
No Stars. Disgusting the way customers are treated, I will never use Leaseplan again, they dont care if youre stuck on the side of the road, and never respond to complaints. The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, stay away!! You are warned, not even if things are escalated does anything get done, even the CEO doesnt respond
