Wen we arrived everything looked lovely.nHad a massage and used the spa then went out for the evening as it was my birthday. The next morning we found lots off small creepy crawlers on the table and kitchen worktop. I cleaned them all away and didn’t think too much about it.nWe we’re out most off the day as it was Carnival Day and went out to watch.nWen we came back there were more bugs.nSome were really big. There was a can off insect repellent so before we went out for the evening we sprayed the whole lodgenThe next day was no better and the bugs were all over the sun loungers and there were some bugs floating in the hot tub.nWe went to reception but there was nobody there so we spoke to the Concierge. He inspected the lodge and took lots off photos off the bugs on the bed and over the floor. He moved drawers and found lots off dead bugs. He tried to get us another lodge to move to but apparently there were none available so we decided to cut our stay short and go home. We were promised a call from them the next day but even with us calling them nobody would speak to us. It took my husband till Thursday before anybody would speak to him.nAnother issue we had was we had previously booked our Sunday Lunch at the restaurant. Wen we got the manager told us they told us they didn’t have our booking so we couldn’t eat there. We told them who had taken our booking while we were there on Fathers Day. We said we would have a take away lunch but he told us they wouldn’t have enough food even tho there were only two off us. Wen a waitress could hear wot was going on she said we could have a table as they had cancellations. It was quite embarrassing as over diners could hear wot was going on. We always loved going to Dylan’s butndefinitely won’t go there again not even just for a coffee. It was all so disappointing as this was my Birthday treat.nHave heard since lots off people have been complaining about the dirty lodges. This place is definitely not 4 Star. So disappointed.
Beautiful place to visit and my 8 and 2yr old had a lovely holiday, great pool and spa and playgrounds around, we were able to fly a kite on the front with idyllic views.nWould like to leave an extra special thank you to Chia, the concierge, who came to our rescue when we had a first aid emergency in the lodge at night headbutted by accident by my 2 yr old, knocking me out and giving me a black eye-great way to spend a holiday! he was so kind and run us up and down the hill to the lodge a lot. Thank you to all the lovely staff who are always accommodating and friendly too
Have only used the coffee shop/restaurant so far.nnExcellent location looking out over the Tâf Estuary. Staff very friendly and courteous can enjoy a good coffee or range of beers on the terrace with great views.nnRestaurant is air-conditioned, glass fronted so has views and protection from the elements!
We visited for the afternoon and finished off with food in the restaurant.nFrom the min I got there I felt pampered and spoilt. Beautiful location and very beautiful building.nChanging rooms for the facilities are spacious, well equipped with a hair dryers and costume spinner. Plenty of room in shower cubicles with shampoo and body wash supplied.nImmaculately clean and plenty of locker space.nThe view from the pool , large glass printed poolside sauna steam room was perfect. While slightly outdoors in the Well sized jacuzzi it was lovely and warm with yet again a beautiful view.nOne thing that really impressed me is that the flooring is totally slip proof and so are the steps , felt totally safe walking around as well as in and out of the facilities. The seating area is very relaxing above and beside the pool . We felt totally relaxed leaving.nThe restaurant which has a lift and stairs to access it was airy , Elegant, immaculate with fantastic staff and obviously a beautiful view. Food was fantastic.
The big plus were the views across the River Taf estuary, which were absolutely amazingnOur lodge was a little run down and we had to call maintenance a few times. The Spa was exceptional as we're the staff. The restaurant was good, but unfortunately they couldn’t get us in on our last night, which was a shame, especially as it didn't appear that busy.
