A lovely place! There were two different photo exhibitions, one downstairs and the other one on the 1st floor. Nice to have a coat hanger by the entrance. It’s easy to get from Archway tube station, but it is uphill. There are two nice pubs on the way there and you can see two churches on both sides of the road. It looks like there are art sessions for children and other activities. There is a grand piano and I wonder if they have a concert or recital at this place.
We had an amazing ceremony thanks to such a such a breath-taking venue and such incredible attentitive staff. I Would highly recommended this venue to all couples getting married. The outside is so spacious and natural, it's absolutely perfect for taking pictures with dozens of great backdrops to make your pictures look amazing. The inside space really gives you a wedding feel and can compliment absolutely any kind of decoration theme you that you desire. Could not rate this place any higher!
We held a family event at this venue. Despite the room being sold as capable of seating 36 people there were less than 20 chairs available on the day. Upon arrival we asked for more tables and the venue did not have matching table cloths. The food was nicely presented but not good value. There was one designated mix sex toilet and 4 labeled for staff. The entrance to the venue was poorly labeled. The room was sterile and lacked character. Overall I regret choosing the venue. The hire and food costs very 3x the price of other events we have hosted. There are so many other better venues in the area. Avoid if you can.
We had our team day here in Lauderdale. The place was ok clean, toilets are clean. We spend a day here, the food that they prepare for us was good. The coffee is ok as well. But garden I wasn’t able to explore more that’s why I gave 4 star only.
As I came to this cafe, the expectations were high, since it was in a beautiful location. The outdoor area was great, with traditional surroundings in which I walked my dog around. The cafe had a big outdoor area, with pleasing views of the park. The service at the cafe was decent, selling a bit overpriced chocolate with beautifully designed packaging. The drinks at the cafe were alright, pretty much what you would usually expect at a cafe. Next time I will get the delicious looking brownies in the display
Lovely house to wander around with a variety of activities programmed. We attended a concert given by on the grand piano by Stephen Hose. It was enthralling and seemed very intimate in the upper room where we were gathered around the piano. A full range of their activities can be found on their website. It was also very cosy on a cold windy day.
This is a pleasant place located at the edge of Waterlow Park and I highly recommend whenever you come round to visit both. The tiny cafe area, although it doesn't have a large variety of items, receives you with friendly and professional staff, Sam being one of them. I've noticed exposed there two paintings created by Victor Carlin, an exquisite artist. The view is awesome and soothing and the house hosts exhibitions, music events or art classes as well. Many thanks to Jo and Peter for helping me with very useful information.
A beautiful building with a cafe Pink Food. Nice hot foods serve there. There is a Galley with nice printings on sale.
Lauderdale House is a fantastic cultural and social hub in Highgate, London. From exhibitions to adult classes, children's activities to special events, Lauderdale House is a great place to spend time with family and friends. The building itself is stunning, with warm spaces to explore and great views of the surrounding park. The exhibitions are always interesting and varied, with something for everyone. The adult classes provide a great opportunity to learn a new skill or discover something new. The children's activities are fun and engaging, and there's always something new to learn or do. Special events are always exciting, with great music, food and entertainment. Overall, Lauderdale House is a great place to visit and explore. Highly recommended!
This is review for the cafe. It used to be a decent place, but not anymore. Hot chocolate tastes of nothing. Coffee comes in minuscule paper cups that don’t get recycled. No excuse for it. A pricey cafe, questionable service and average food. Much better options are available nearby.
