Lovely tea house, even though somewhat expensive. The decoration is very nice and tasteful just on the verge of overdoing it. Although the place is really small and the tables are clustered it has a great atmosphere. And you could also come earlier or after lunchtime to avoid the crowds. They offer a wide selection of both traditional and not so common teas, which in my opinion all taste delicious. Additionally you can order all kinds of sweets with your tea, such as biscuits, scones, muffins and many more. They are all freshly baked and taste very much like my grandmother's, which are simply delicious. All the staff are very friendly and nice, always ready to help you out. They simply know when a person needs a little time by himself or is feeling lonely.
I liked the quality of the cakes I had a carrot and walnut one. The savoury food was not great. They have a good variety of teas, but not too long of a list. The decor, as you can see in the photos, is quite girly and very 'tea-house' like. I was however not at all impressed with the service: they are 2 teenagers who obviously would prefer to be hanging out with friends outside! Not a smile, not a welcoming word... very hard to get attention, we had to walk up to the counter to order, to pay, everything... it was like there was no point in even sitting there...
My wife and I were staying in Highgate with friends for the weekend and decided to pop into this sweet little coffee shop for breakfast. The whole experience was just fantastic! We had tea and really tasty cake and the girls serving were nice and friendly and the service itself was fast. I would highly recommend popping in if you're ever in the area
Not a pleasant experience. The staff were rude and told me they had no room even though there were empty tables that had yet to be cleared. I was really disappointed by the non welcome that I left and went to Neros. I much prefer to patronise independent tea shops, however, I feel that I was not the 'right' kind of person for this tea room.
A delightful tearoom in a gorgeous location. The staff are kind and attentive. Cakes are super yummy. Will definitely come again.
Just perfect, this place is my home away from home. Amazing homemade cakes, lovely staff and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And, great gifts!
Lovely scones and teas... but when I was there the waitresses ignored us, were really quite rude and did not tell us until we tried to order something savoury that all savoury had sold out... really something you say at the beginning although they ignored us at the beginning not even bringing menu or wiping the filthy table... would probably not recommend.
My favorite place for a tea. Cakes, teas are excellent. The team is discret, really kind and do all to make you happy and satisfied. I miss it so much...
Lovely staff, great cake, and a mellow atmosphere enhanced by whoever was picking the great jazz and blues selection of background music.
