How can you go wrong with a ham and cheese toastie....by saving on the cheese. I couldn't even feel the taste of the cheese. Super dry, I left half of it on the plate. Definitely not worth £7. I'm not curious to try their menu. Not going back.
Coffee is good, food is average - it tastes as average as it looks. Quick service
Lovely kind staff that served us. I had a halloumi salad and tea and it was delivered as expected. Really unpretentious cozy spot for lunch.Food: 4/5
I have been going to Kalender for coffee breaks and lunch for many years. It is terrific with a lovely community atmosphere inside and out. The couple who run it are really friendly and the food is very tasty. Their Apple Strudel is the best ever!!Food: 5/5
I went here for brunch on a Sunday after a walk on Hampstead Heath. It was busy when we arrived so I had high hopes. The service was good and the food came quickly. However, the food quality was pretty average - I had the 'Kalendar English breakfast' which I think was £15 but tasted like food you could cook at home with ingredients from Tesco. On the side were some tasty looking cakes so maybe it's better for tea and cake rather than a meal - brunch anyway.

This friendly family cafe makes the best mocha I’ve had in half a century of trials. My friend ordered the homemade apple pie which arrived huge, stacked full of spiced apple slices, perfect texture, topped with a top notch streusel. As a major bonus, they’re dog friendly, so you don’t have to shiver outside with your feast, you can relax indoors. Wholeheartedly recommended
We had a nice drink here & cake with our kids - the staff accommodated us on two tables COVID rules. Drinks were nice and cake was tasty - overall would recommend. Good place to refuel before or after adventures on Hampstead Heath
Had a decent breakfast here with friends and family but nothing to write home about. Full English is one sausage and one rasher of bacon, which at £16 is steep even for the area and given the basic decor of the place. Food was lukewarm and it doesn’t look like they’ve discovered how to turn their heating on yet. Service was good and friendly though to be fair. I wouldn’t return, I think you can do better round here.
Pretty consistently good food. They used to have very good quality smoked salmon. Great apple pie too!Food: 4/5
