We love Lanivet Inn. I lived in the Village about 25 years ago and it has changed so much.If you come off the Bodmin bypass Lanivet sits just below on the old road. We didn't book and that wasn't a problem. We sat in the main bar but would advise to ask if you can be seated in the dining rooms further down if you want a quiet meal but if like us you prefer to watch sportfootball in our case it's great. Being a Sunday we ordered roast lunch. My husband had the large which was enormous with a mix of Beef,Pork & Turkey.Dishes of fresh veg which was really generous helpings. My small roast was a one choice of Roast Pork with the most perfect crackling. Prices for this were really good. Outside at the pub is a front area facing the road with plenty of tables and at the rear there is a fantastic gazebo/marquee and a covered garden seating. Good parking but if it was full just a minutes walk is a public car park.
A good traditional country pub with great pub fayre. I was part of a large group and we enjoyed our meals that were served in a timely manner. Staff were friendly and attentive. Toilets were clean and fresh and well stocked. The toilet seats, however, look like they don't fit the pan and looked unstable but in practice were movement free! I would definitely recommend this pub and would come back another time
A real busy and popular pub. However, even though extremely busy the food was great as was the service. The service was particularly impressively given how busy they were. I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection and a good quality cut. My wife had the Mac and cheese which she loved, saying it was the best she ever tasted. As I mentioned before the service was top notch and the staff should be commended for it.
My husband and I had a lovely meal for our anniversary here this evening. Friendly staff and great service. Food was delicious, huge portions, the blue cheese sauce was the best I've ever had. My husband had the mix grill all meats cooked to perfection. Unfortunately no room to sample the puddings.
Came across this put purely by accident. Very friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing... all homemade and lovely varied selection. It was just lovely to visit a country pub selling homemade food with a friendly greeting. I wish we lived closer as we would be regulars! Highly recommend.
Absolutely excellent quality of food and service. Need to book ahead to guarantee a table. The Sunday Roast Carvery is worth travelling to alone, such tender meat and lovely freshly cooked vegetables. Pity it isn't more local to us !
Food was amazing!! Service was quick and welcoming!! Defiantly come back again!!
Wow, what a find. Popped in for lunch on our way home. Nice big carpark. Big covered outside area, nice front pub garden. The foooooood! Stunning. What an extensive and gorgeous menu. Took me forever to decide because I wanted it all. There are lots of unusual things on the menu. The omelette and side salad was ginormous and so tasty. Great service. Helpful staff and will definitely be going back soon. Fantastic.
Had a lovely evening in this beautiful pub, run by charming, friendly staff. Food was fabulous, very generous portions & reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend it & will be visiting them again.
Our 1st eating out for a long time. Team Panda have really made the whole eating outside a real enjoyable & safe experience. The outside seating area is better than before. Well done to everyone involved. My partner had a sandwich & I had a ciabatta with side of chips. Lovely dressed salad.
