Our dinner out started with an easy online booking for the 5 of us and finished with bellies satisfied and smiles on our faces. We arrived to a busy pub, however, on arrival we were shown to our table within a couple of minutes. The high chair was already waiting at the table , which doesn’t normally happen, even when stated on booking. At our table we had service with a smile and they were happy to help. The food was enjoyed by the whole family, it was cooked well and the chef used good fresh ingredients. Our children enjoyed the play area after eating our food and it was easy to watch them whilst finishing a local ale from where we were seated at our table.
I took my wife here for our anniversary and boy the food was off the scale amazing if you have not been here yet then you have not lived. And all the staff are fantastic all the way from glass collector all the was to the top boss thank you Borough Arms. Also thank you for decorating the table for us that was above and beyond. So a big thank you to all the team there.
Lovely visit here whilst staying in the area for our evening meal. Dog friendly, so we were able to take our pup too. Staff were great, served us quickly and made a fuss of the pup, giving lots of cuddles and treats. Friendly locals, happy to recommend some local dog walks. Food was reasonably priced, very tasty and great quality. Decent sized car park, which connects to another car park which you can park in to also access the Camel Trail. We'll certainly visit again when back in the area.
Very friendly, accommodating staff. Beautiful day so we were able to sit at the outside tables. Dog friendly and ample parking. Plus right beside the Camel Trail.
Brilliant pub, easy access for cyclists and walkers doing the camel trail. Good menu and drinks selection, staff were friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere! Highly recommended!
The Borough Arms is an excellent place to start your gentle walk - or cycle - either north west towards Helland or south west towards Wadebridge and, ultimately, Padstow. Food and drink served here is a bonus either before or after and parking is available too. The most observant of people will spot the wren on the wooden post on the second picture. There was actually a family of them playing! Enjoy!!
Really great down-to-earth place. Fab location right on the camel trail. The staff were so helpful and attentive despite it being a really busy Sunday lunch time. The carvery was brilliant and the kid's meals were excellent. We'll definitely be back. Dog friendly too.
Passed this pub on our day out. It exceeded our expectations. Both with the friendly staff and the meal we had. Very highly recommend! Compliments to the chef with our carvery and hunters chicken meal and thankyou to all staff who worked so hard as a team.
Lovely pub with a great selection of food and drinks. Staff very welcoming even having not booked in advance. Decent food for the price would recommend. Only negative is the poorly equipped children's play area, given the space available I would have expected more, which would no doubt attract more families too.
Staff very friendly especially the manager. Food was lovely. Only down side was it was really cold inside the pub. It was a cold wet day and no fires on. We ate food and left as we were quite chilled. If fires are on it creates a lovely warm atmosphere encouraging customers to stay longer. Nothing worse than getting cold. Hopefully on our next visit the fires will be roaring !!
