Food was nice, delicious but quantity could have been a little more. Had ordered a butter naan, but it was more of like a paratha. It is economical to take the lassi/mango shake in a jug if 4 or more people.
Driven pass this place enough times and has been on my dishlist for years! There’s a bustling atmosphere being in the heart of Tooting and it’s great to see such a diverse clientele and everyone enjoying themselves.nnWhilst is quite bright, the decor is simple and comfortable enough. It has to be bright really because of how busy it can get in here.nnWe ordered a mix grill to start, along with a couple of obligatory poppadum. Forgot to get a picture of the Mix Grill but the meats were flavoursome and so tender. I definite for meat lovers!nnI ordered my go to because it was there on the menu, so Chicken Dhansak with Pilua rice and an extra toasted Peshwari Naan. The portions are good and the rice is large enough to share, as was the naan. The curry was tasty, chicken tender but can’t say it was the best I’ve had. But certainly no way besr being anything bad.nnIt’s BOYB so that’s a bonus as some of the neighbouring Pakistani Restaurants don’t have the licence for it. Us getting a couple of Cobras from a shop across the road.nnIt’s so nice to see Tooting bustling with this place being one of the vibrant draws to the high street. Would certainly come here again.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lahore Karahi, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional.nnThe Lamp Windaru Curry was a standout, with its rich, flavorful sauce and tender lamb that just melted in your mouth. The balance of spices was perfect, making it a memorable dish. The Chicken in the Bone was equally impressive; the chicken was succulent, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. It paired wonderfully with the naan!nnIf you're a fan of traditional biryanis, the Lamb Biryani is a must-try. The rice was fragrant, the lamb was juicy and tender, and the whole dish was seasoned just right — not too spicy, but packed with flavor.nnWhat truly made the experience complete was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.nnHighly recommend Lahore Karahi for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Pakistani cuisine. It’s a true gem!
Lovely meal at Lahore, the families' favourites are butter chicken and the chefs lamb special. Lovely service people and yummy food. You may wish to avoid the toilets but it is good to have facilities on site.
Shocking Experience – Breach of Religious Faith and Unethical BehaviornnI am deeply disturbed and hurt by my recent experience. I had placed an order for strictly *vegetarian* food, but was shocked to find what appeared to be *beef* in one of the items. As someone who follows a pure vegetarian diet for religious reasons, this was not just a mistake — it was an emotional and spiritual violation. What made the situation even worse was the response from the restaurant staff. When we raised our concern, they casually mentioned that “there is a 1% chance that your paneer dish might contain non-veg, but the dal cannot.” This kind of uncertainty is unacceptable. But the most alarming part came when we began packing the dal to take with us. The staff suddenly appeared nervous and tried to prevent any further questioning by saying, “We’ll give you fresh dal, please eat this one instead.” This clearly indicated that they were aware something was wrong and wanted to hide it rather than take accountability. This is not how a responsible restaurant behaves. Customers trust food outlets with their faith, their health, and their beliefs. Playing with someone’s religion and then trying to cover it up is absolutely unethical and deeply disappointing I urge the management and the platform to take strict action and ensure such incidents are never repeated. This isn't just about food this is about respect, faith, and basic human decency.
