This is from Saudi Eats in London, with 90k+ followers across social platforms.nInstagram & Tiktok: saudieats.ksannFrom the moment we stepped inside at @lahorekarahitooting we were welcomed by the irresistible aroma of authentic Pakistani cuisine, the kind that instantly tells you you’re in for something special. The menu is thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to explore, yet packed with such a wide variety of dishes that there’s truly something for everyone.nnOf course, the stars of the table had to be the karahi and garlic naan and they did not disappoint. Rich, bold, and bursting with flavour, every dish was cooked to perfection, with spices balanced beautifully in every bite. You can genuinely taste the care and authenticity in each plate.nnThis isn’t just a good meal it’s an experience. Without hesitation, we’d place this among the very best Pakistani restaurants we’ve had the pleasure of trying. A true hidden gem that we’d recommend again and again to anyone willing to listen.
We made a reservation to visit Lajo de Karahi, and I’m glad we did because the place was full when we arrived. The atmosphere was lively and authentic. This was my first time trying Pakistani food, and I was invited by my daughter, who told me it was one of her favorite restaurants — and now I completely understand why.nnThe food was absolutely delicious. Every dish had rich, fresh flavors and felt perfectly homemade. Another great detail is that you can bring your own alcoholic drinks, which makes the experience even better.nnEven though the restaurant was busy, the service was quick and friendly, and everything we ordered was worth it.nnDefinitely a place I would return to. If you’re in London and want to try authentic, flavorful Pakistani cuisine, Lajo de Karahi is a must-visit.
GENUINE REVIEW:nnI had come here this evening with my partner for dinner, we were served by a gentleman who was seeing everyone queuing up.nnWe were seated quite quickly, and ordered food not long after…nnFOOD:nnWe ordered 1 pair of vegetable samosas, mushroom and onion rice, chicken saag, chicken tikka masala and 2 plain rice.nnVegetable samosas - came out quick enough but both were loop warm to cold.nnChicken saag - the chicken saag texture was really thick and had absolutely no taste to eat, also was very salty.nnChicken tikka masala - chicken pieces were soft, but the sauce was runny, had no taste of either cream or tomato. This was a runny texture and tasted like a gravy that came out of a bisto sachet!nnMushroom and onion rice, the rice lacked flavour, the onions were boiled not panned of fried, the mushrooms seemed like they were out a tin and not fresh at all.nnNaan bread - the breads looked fine but again had absolutely no taste to how a plain naan should taste like, they had a crisp and fluffy texture but not the best I’ve had.nnCondiments sauces - the mint yogurt sauce lacked taste and not enough sugar to give the sauce it’s natural flavournThe mango chutney, was good and had chunks, chilli sauce was also good and had flavour.nnSERVICE:nnThe service for me was not above par, a polite woman took our order after asking her questions about the dishes we ordered but seems to lack the knowledge of the menu.nWe had also asked 3 times for water before we was given any, plates we left empty after our starter although asked if they could be taken to provide more serving space.nnAt the end I had asked for the bill and was not given one just the manager coming up with the card machine and quoting me £38. I didn’t bother to ask as at this point I wanted to just leave!nnOne of the waiters was cleaning out table before leaving who acknowledged us and asked about the food which I didn’t hold back and said it was appalling, he asked why and I had told him which he obviously felt embarrassed and didn’t know what to say not even a sorry….nnI won’t be coming back here at all and o do not recommend such a place! I even gave my salaam on arrival to the manager who obviously didn’t want to acknowledge me at all…nnI would unfortunately avoid coming here as there are many places on the high street to eat better quality food at the same price or even less.
A real delight. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately met with the aroma of delicious, authentic food. The menu is clear and easy to navigate, and with such an array of dishes there was something for everyone in our party of four, including a vegetarian.nIt was clear from the first bite that only fresh, high-quality ingredients are used. Every dish tasted vibrant and full of flavour.nThe service was attentive and friendly throughout. The food certainly did not disappoint; every dish was of a high standard and spiced to perfection.nI would go as far as to say this is hands down one of the top Pakistani restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining at. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone who will listen.
I had the tandoori lamb chops which were excellent, the charsi chicken karahi was average, the chaat was also average, the falooda was nice. They do good food, but not wow food. Thanks
