We recently stayed here for a one-night getaway, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality.nThe staff here are truly second to none. Not only were they incredibly helpful and friendly to us, but they were absolutely amazing with our children. The level of service was outstanding, effortlessly catering to both the adults and the little ones to ensure everyone had a fantastic time.nn​Our room was super spacious, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a hassle-free night.nn​A huge thank you to the pool staff as well, who went out of their way to make the pool perfect for our toddlers. They absolutely loved it!nn​We will definitely be back, especially to catch some of the family events. Highly recommend this place if you have kids or if you're looking for a chill night or two away!
The room was very large and comfortable. Shower gel and shampoo provided. Impeccably cleaned every day.nThe gym was very well equipped.nDidn't use the pool but it looked good, had to wear swimming caps though.nFood was excellent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all perfectly cooked, seasoned and served fresh and quickly.nBar service was first rate with a good choice.nReception staff were really friendly and welcoming.nLoved this place and will definitely use it when I'm in Belfast again
My brother and sister in law got married at the La Mon on the 27th of June. I can’t fault the staff they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They made my brother and sister in- laws day amazing and where so attentive. I would definitely recommend the La Mon Hotel to anyone wanting to get married there it is absolutely beautiful the food was delicious and the venue was absolutely beautiful, even down to the gorgeous land and spots to capture beautiful wedding photographs. A special mention to Jayne and Ellie who were amazing. They made sure that all the finer details where to perfection and made us all feel so relaxed and comfortable. Thank you all again.
We were invited as guests for afternoon tea, and as we are vegetarians our friends had informed the reception at the time of booking. When we arrived, the reservation was only for 2 people instead of 4, we had to wait 30 minutes for a tabe to become free and set up. Then when the waiter came with the food he waxed eliquinte with all the meat items, and savioury treats, for our friend's, and we were handed a plate of 6 sandwiches, which consisted of cucumber, cheese and pickle, and salad, and a tree tier stack of sweet treats. No savioury NONE MEAT ALTERNATIVES. We did not want to embarrass our friends, but even they were shocked at our array of sandwiches without any savioury treats. Our frieds were given cherry scones, while we were given ordinay plain scones. We are both excellent people with creative ideas for our meal times, but to have this served at a 4 STAR HOTEL, it made my wife and I felt like we were second class citizens.nFor a 4 star cuisine it fell short on the alternatives for none meat clients. We were both very disappointed with our whole experience of the La Mon Hotel, as it was our first time there, and were expecting something special, but sadly it was a none starter.nSadly chefs seem to NOT cater for NONE MEAT EATERS or vegetarians or whole food plant based customers, no imagination or creative ideas with food.
We had our wedding at La Mon Hotel and unfortunately the hotel really let us down, especially when it came to the food.nnThe food was probably the biggest disappointment of the whole day. When you’re spending that kind of money on a wedding, you expect the food to be good, and honestly it just wasn’t. The quality was poor and nowhere near what we expected from a four-star hotel. A few of our guests commented on it as well, which was really disappointing because the food is such a big part of the day.nnWhat makes it worse is that we had discussed everything with the hotel beforehand and had a number of meetings about the wedding, so we expected what we had agreed to actually be followed through.nnThere were also issues with the cocktails. We had discussed these beforehand and even spent around £40 ourselves buying products for my wife’s cocktails. After a change of bar staff, she ended up only getting two cocktails. Just frustrating when it was something we’d specifically arranged.nnThen after the wedding, we didn’t even get into our room until around 1am. When we got there, the night staff had no idea about our room and the night manager didn’t seem to know what was going on either. We were left waiting around 10 minutes to get into the bridal suite, which was absolutely freezing because the windows had been left open.nnThe room itself was also really underwhelming. After paying for a wedding and expecting a nice bridal suite, it felt very basic and definitely not what we’d expect from a four-star hotel.nnThe breakfast the next morning was good, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for everything else.nnOur wedding was still an amazing day because of our family and friends, but that’s not down to the hotel. It’s a shame because this should have been one of the best experiences and instead there were just too many things that went wrong.nnFor the amount of money you spend, we expected a lot more from La Mon and based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend it as a wedding venue.
