Story

At LA fitness Victoria we have an extensive range of new cardio equipment, a fully equipped and air conditioned free weights area, cable machines, resistance machines and a new boxing studio.

We also offer over 60 classes a week, have an 18 metre swimming pool and a steam room. We also have security lockers and give a complimentry towel. Our coaches are fully qualified and our mission is to give the best possible service and help our members achieve their goals.

Very disappointed. Not seeing why I should pay my membership & to be part of this gym anymore. When we first purchased membership was ok, clean and tidy. And very competitive club due to the availability of the pool, but with the time club lost my patience, that is why I want to share with my experience and give rating of 1. Swimming pool never get cleaned the walls in the pool even if the pool was closed for around 3 months due to heating problem, women's bathroom are disgustingly dirty, not soap but slightly soapy-water in all soap dispensers, no paper towels whatsoever, dirty floor, dirty sauna, very often no toilet paper, in a few bathrooms you can't set warm water: only hot or cold, in a bathroom for people with special needs shower is broken for around 8 months already.., classes were often cancelled and in 2015 in the summer club was open from 5am till 11pm, now it is summer and it open only from 6am to 10pm. But thanks for Wi-Fi!!!!!, good machines & club isn't very busy.
this is a great gym. The pool is very nice to have if you are a triathlete. There seems to be enough equipment and the place is very well maintained and clean. The staff seems to busy to give help unless you pay for it but I like the gym a lot. The cleaning staff is constantly working and doing a very good job. I can't think of any other gym with as much to offer. Weekend hours of operation are a little low but overall I am tempted to give a five star rating almost
This place gets my heart pumping! Love the new machines. I have never experienced much of a wait for machines or weights. Love the WiFi and the location is CLEAN. No black mould in the showers, no funny odor, this place is comfortable. By far, way better hands down than the LA Fitness locations in the GTA. Keep it up folks, I think I found my new favourite location!
Many people here are correct lately. This club has become a donkey festival. It was pretty acceptable with decent equipment and not very busy. They have cruised off this for years. Now with aging stuff the sauna/equipment seem broken for a lifetime when it goes down. Nothing in place to address this? Hours keep getting reduced every 6 months from both ends and now basically open only when I work. At least 3 other new gyms in the area cheaper and 24 hour. Even cable seems trimmed down to 3 channels. To be fair it's not very busy and most staff seem good, but cancellation is garbage. Only Monday to Friday during working hours. Righto, let me just burn a vacation day so I can cancel my gym membership, after THEY changed the terms and conditions. Added a premium option to use all clubs in North America while I was travelling. Traveling stopped and no longer needed the add on. Too bad. Contracts still just month to month are in stone and under no conditions can they be changed. Ok cancel it is. Keep looking if you are thinking of signing up here.
I'm so sad that they are closing! My heart is COMPLETELY BROKEN! COMPLETELY! I loved this gym so very much! I loved how it was never so crowded, I love the way the cardio machines are displayed at the front, I love the way the lifting gear is at the back, I love the pool located in the middle..I love the sauna..clean washrooms...Too bad, it really is a classy wonderful gym! My heart is broken!
Appears to be state of the art. The change rooms and shower areas as dirty and look like they never get cleaned. The machines dont get whipped down. Bad hours. However, they do have a great array of equipment and it's never busy. Probably because all they care about is the money.
I recently used this location Saturday 6/24 around noon while visiting my family in London. It blows any other LA Fitness location I've seen in Michigan totally out of the water. I have never seen a cleaner gym. The locker rooms are also very clean, the showers are totally private rooms with a changing space separate from the shower stall and a few are full three piece baths. There is a lounge with a TV in the change room. I regret not packing a post workout snack as that would be the perfect place to enjoy it. I didn't catch her name, but the lady who greeted me and chatted with me before leaving was super friendly and provided me excellent service, especially as a visitor vs it being my home club. Every other LA Fitness location should take a lesson from this location. It makes the one in Allen Park, MI where I normally go look like a total dump.
I just returned from a family visit in London, Ontario. I was in the city for 6 days and visited LA Fitness 5 times. I have been in fitness gyms for more than 50 years. LA Fitness in London is a fitness enthusiast's version of 'gone to heaven'! The equipment, cleanliness, staff, atmosphere, locker rooms …all were wonderful. I now am back in central British Columbia experiencing withdrawal from my workout times at LA Fitness. Thanks to the staff at London LA Fitness!
@LAFitness It is shame!!! Since I became a member of the club the service has declined dramatically!!! how long should it take to repair this thing in a sauna? It is already 3 weeks. As long as previously to repair a hitting in the pool? 3 months? Give soap? It is the water with a smell, it is not soap. Put a paper in toilets? Few of the washrooms always don't have it. clean? Lately, it is hard to say anything except gross. I thought this level of service can be only in still developing countries but not provided by USA company.
They changed the hours to close even earlier. They continue to charge the same amount for a membership but are reducing the time they are open for. Closing at 9 pm during the week now and 5pm weekends? What's up with that? I don't understand how they can expect to compete with other gyms in town with these terrible hours. I will be changing gyms.
