La Cucina in Bridge of Allan is a restaurant and cafe bar serving fresh authentic Italian cuisine. www.lacucinabridgeofallan.co.uk

Story

Set in the heart of Henderson Street, our staff comes in early in the morning to start preparing the day's fresh produce. We open for morning coffee and cake or sandwiches. Then we are all set for lunch and dinner, with a small classical a La Carte menu, but with main emphasis on daily seasonal specials.

We have also sourced the best Southern Italian Pizza flour and make all our pizzas with San Marzano tomatoes, and cubed fior di latte cheese, and, to top it all, made by real professional Italian Pizzaiolo.
Regardless, should you not be able to see your favourite Italian dish, and providing we have the ingredients, the chefs will only be too happy to accommodate you.

I’ve been to La Cucina a few times and it never fails to impress. It feels like you’re in a proper Italian restaurant right in the heart of Scotland.nnThe atmosphere is authentic, the food is fantastic and the wine smooth. I had a calzone which, at our request, was topped with some Bolognese sauce and it was amazing.nnThe service is always attentive - one of our waiters dropped a couple of pieces calamari when the dish was served and immediately went back to the kitchen to bring an additional portion. There was absolutely no need for that as it was only one or two pieces, but it really shows the level of care and attention to detail.nnA consistently great experience and somewhere we’ll definitely keep coming back to.
I ordered the spaghetti mare, which was very tasty; however, the portion size of the spaghetti felt a bit small. The prawns, including the shell and head, had a soft and non-firm texture, which was below expected quality standards.The tables are also placed quite close together, which made the seating area feel cramped and slightly uncomfortable.
Amazing Italian food in Stirling! nThe staff were warm and welcoming, the food was fantastic, and the portions were very generous ,definitely filling!nHighly recommend visiting La Cucina!
Most tables sat and left while we were almost ignored. We wanted dessert but after two hours... Server did not come back after dropping dinner, we wanted more water and wine. Saw a bowl of parmesan which would have been great on the pasta. Focaccia is pizza crust.
Visited here on New Year's Eve after managing to get a last minute booking. Food was fantastic and so flavourful. We shared a starter and had a main meal each. Service was excellent, staff friendly and professional. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced given the location/area. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area, only a short walk away. Definitely recommend and will be back.
