Came here for Mothers day and we loved it! I even got a little gift with lots of little goodies in it which I thought this was a really nice touch. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly and the restaurant was really busy which created a great atmosphere. Food was lovely and portions were a good size. My son and his girlfriend have enquired about this venue for their wedding next year as it is such a lovely setting. We had previously been to the restaurant a couple of years ago and it had went down hill, but we decided to try it again when they had their Mother's Day offer on. I can say it has improved massively and we will definitely be back.

Welcome to the Crannog was very good, placed at table and order taken promptly. From there on in experience was all downhill, although very quiet service was really slow. The food was overpriced and of poor quality. To enable us to finish meal before growing to old we asked for coffees at the same time as ordering sweets. When coffees arrived I asked why coffees arrived before sweets and was told separate orders :quote I do coffee kitchen does sweets! 10/15 minutes later sweets arrived, coffee was now stone cold. When I complained, what I got was a ridiculous lecture on how most customers drink coffee with sweets. I did point out that for the last 40 years of eating out any UK and many foreign parts have always finished meal with coffee. Decided to end conversation as what I presume was manager was clearly untrained in customer relations. I was involved for many years in tourist trade when the old adage was the customer is always right,even when they are not. Finally ,would I recommend,certainly not,worst service I have encountered in many years.Staff badly need training.

Excellent have been there 3 times recently and the food was delicious the service first class. Keep it up and we will be back soon.

Was here for Xmas dinner for the 3rd year in a row. The food is great. The cost is reasonable. The service and way things are run for an Xmas dinner is really good. You have set times but never feel rushed.

Excellent service and food. Menu was varied and my 1 year enjoyed the food and activity pack. Will definitely return.
