Great South Asian grocery store in Edinburgh. Has the most ingredients for basic Indian dishes. Good to stock up your Spice racks for cheap in comparison to the supermarkets.nnAlso way better place to buy ginger. Double the amount for the same money and it doesn't start molds after one day like the plastic packed nonsense you get in the supermarkets in the UK
Krishna foods got a good stock of Indian food, majorly South Indian food. But compared to other options around Edinburgh, they are costly and personally I had wrong bill experience 3 times. Items were billed twice and when we purchase a big list of items it goes un noticed. I didn’t notice in the first instance, but I did catch and refunded twice. So it is always worth checking the bill before you leave the shop. I don’t believe the person in the till did it by mistake.
Sorry, unable to write a review, much as I would have liked - Google Maps promised us the shop was open, and led us nicely to the door - but the place was closed - not just closed: it was all boarded up, and looked like it had been shut for some weeks, if not months! Wake up, Google Maps!

Covers pretty much north, south, central and western parts of India for their food items and the raw ingredients needed.nAlso get basic utensils if you could not bring one from India. Get packed Indian sweets, jaggery and savoury items at decent prices.nnGooseberry , Indian chilly and seasonal Indian mango box will delight you away from home.nnHas few more Indian shops nearby to complement any item you don’t find that day here. Best place to find all Indian groceries. The person who usually deals with customers is very kind and helpful. Although they don't have student discounts, their prices are really good. I know some friends who live outside Edinburgh who often come here to buy supplies in bulk. As per their website, they have another branch in Glasgow. I would also suggest that they improve their website for deliveries and collections.
