Perfect fish and chips. The haddock and cod are both my favourite. You dont need to travel out of London to get the good stuff. This is your proper traditional fish and chip. Cooked in real beef fat / dripping / tallow. You can have the delicious fish and chips and not worry about vegetable oils killing you. Super delicious and generous portions. Really lovely kind owner. Cash only and worth every penny. Highly Recommended!! The only place we eat fish and chips from.
I am a fish and chips lover and I can firmly say Gary’s is the best with much difference. I totally recommend this place to anyone living near West Norwood. The fish butter is simply perfect and same the chips. Cooking fish and chips should not be very difficult, not rocket science, true? Well, if you compare it, for instance with the other local fish and chips bars there is one 3 minutes away walking distance… Gary’s is in another level. This is a simple detail but for me it makes a huge difference; Gary places the salt and vinegar near to let you add the amount you love. Try it for yourself. ONLY CASH THOUGH…

Good fish and chips but it is cash only - does not say anywhere in the shop. By the time you get some cash, your order gets soggy in the wrapping. Seriously it’s 2024!Food: 4/5

You cannot grumble for £5 for a lunchtime fish and chips. £1 extra for peas. The peas were very tasty and everything was freshly cooked and hot.
