This is a great, local, chip shop. I’ve been going here for about five years. Really friendly service. The fish is cooked well and had a nice batter. The chips are tasty and the sausage and batter had previously is good too. Would definitely recommend it. I’ll obviously go again. Only marked down on atmosphere as it’s takeaway only so I’ll never give it more than 3 stars. Parking: Mainly resident parking Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp so can enter via wheelchair
Stunningly good fish and chip shop. Amazing family run business with lovely welcoming and friendly staff. The shop is very clean and you can watch as your order is prepared freshly. The quality of the food is wonderful and I can honestly describe it as the best fish and chips I have ever had. My missus loves rock/huss which they always have in stock and she is more than happy with it from here. I have the plaice which is also superb. You get large portion sizes, good prices and it is absolutely delicious. There are 3 other fish and chip shops closer to me but I keep coming back to Mitcham's Plaice because the quality is head and shoulders above all the competitors. Just try them out once and you will keep returning.
Excellent fish and chips! Big portions of fish and chips even for small fish. I hardly waited 10 minutes and I was served. The people are really nice too. It's my 1st time getting food from Mitcham Plaice after our church had fish and chips evening bought from here. Very good food and service. Will be back! Parking: Free street parking in neighbouring streets.
Portions are huge. A small chip bag can feed a small army. A small cod is equivalent to a large cod in many places. The food was very delicious. A super clean takeaway, I could see my face in the stainless steel. Polite and friendly staff. Will revisit. .Prices attached

I was at this joint last Friday, and my experience was a very bad one!! As a result of eating from this place i was very sick for 5 days. I was vomiting continuously, headache, sore throat, trouble sleeping, body was weak. It was horrible.Food: 1/5
I have used this fish & chip shop since it first opened. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Owner, Staff & food always 10 out of 10. Large portions at a fair price. Definitely recommend getting your takeaway from here

Ordered the lunchtime special, Cod and chips for £8.50! Good value for money. It's comparable to Fishcotheque. Some tartar sauce and a slice of lemon would've made it better but otherwise, one of the best fish and chips I've had in LondonFood: 5/5
I’ve been going to or ordering on Uber eats from this chippy for over a decade. Never would I have thought that I would get food poisoning the way I have tonight, it’s now almost 5am, some 9 hours after dinner I’ve woken up from my sleep only to projectile vomit non stop for 5 minutes. My body was rejecting whatever it was so much so that I feel in physical pain just to swallow, due to how violent my body was trying to remove this from my system. Unsure if it was the chicken leg piece or cheeseburger which the latter I never previously had issues with. Sadly the way I’ve been so sick tonight will never make me order from here ever again. I just hope my toddler who ate the food with me doesn’t get sick too. Please ensure your food is safe and hands are washed thoroughly, there is no excuse for a highly respected food shop to cause illness like this.
