My first visit to this fantastic site. Wardens are very helpful and polite. My pitch was perfect and level for my motorhome. This time of the year was quite cold but my two 'boys' dogs were not bothered by it. We took a few walks in the Nidd Gorge Woods where they both got very muddy and wet. Border Collie and Labrador hold a lot of mud. However, although I am a little precious about my new carpet, I need not worry as the dog/bike wash was a great relief. I love this site and hopefully can manage to return should there be a pitch available, I can now understand why this site is very popular. LOVE IT

Nice place to visit. Came in Easter and the place only had a few pitches available which were next to the exit. Disliked the mordern toilet block and it felt like a restaurant toilet. Only two showers but the cleaning time was quick

Clean and tidy facilities. Friendly wardens. Lots to do in the vicinity. The only site bistro is great if you don't want to cook.

It's a definite yes from us. Campsite is a cracker, all amenities are of a high standard. Pitches are positioned well on site & are a decent size with beech hedges to add a little privacy. Our compliments to the Chef & Crew of The Wanderer on site Bistro, both Starter and Main's were second to none. Knaresborough is as pretty as a picture with lots of nooks & cranny's to explore, plenty of Cafe's, Restaurants and bars. Bus station in centre of town with regular busses to drop you off literally on the doorstep of the Campsite.

This is a great campsite. We stayed during the coldest night of the year - temperature well below freezing. Despite this, all the facilities remained open, clean and warm. The onsite restaurant is wonderful, we had an excellent chicken and mushroom pie with some of the best cooked vegetables I have ever tasted. The site is near many interesting places, we enjoyed a lovely walk in the gardens and grounds of nearby Ripley Castle. We will certainly be back soon.
