Can never get through to them to. Does not matter the time of day you ring, its always engaged tone. No message or hold just straight up engaged busy line tone then it self hangs up. Poor.
I’ve recently changed for them to be my gp. I have limited repeat prescription medication remaining. They are trying to say I’m not telling truth but my pharmacy can confirm the medication, dates and everything is true. It’s crazy because they are putting me at the risk of having no epilepsy medications. What is the point of GPs
Not so much the surgery but the Pharmacy is nothing short of disgusting. The pharmacist acts like she's head of the NHS. Always late in getting medication so I end up running out. Not ideal when on Sertraline.
Haven't even managed to go in because they are closed 60% of the time, including lunch time. Every day. We've just moved and have medication we need monthly and checkups for the medication. My partner has been in to hand over her ID documents for signing on and the receptionist was rude to her for no reason she was literally just there to hand documents over forced her to buy a box of 50 masks because "they don't provide them and you have to have a mask on" she was literally just there to hand documents over then told her it would be 6-8 weeks to get her set up on the system so she couldn't request her prescription medication. Instead we have to get it from our previous surgery, which is 3 hours away by car. Receptionist didn't seem to think her heath and we'll being was her problem. So now we have no healthcare for the next 2 months. We'll see if we're in a different catchment area. You should too. Needs a complete overhaul of its staff complement if the rest of the reviews are to be believed. Sacking the receptionist would probably go a long way.
My deaf 95 yr old father went to surgery on mobility scooter to make an appointment and receptionist refused to make one giving him a yellow slip with the surgery's phone number to call to make one. I had to come from other end of Gloucester to go into surgery to query this and was told this is normal practice. I said father cannot use a telephone as hard of hearing and 95 years old. Receptionist made an appointment for a call back from doctor to me in 6 weeks time to see if needs to visit surgery, also they have to call me goodness knows what happens to the elderly who do not have children or anybody in their life to help them - as we all know when you reach 95 most friends have passed away.
I used to be at this surgery when I was young and struggled with mental health. When speaking to one of the staff I asked for help and a referral the exact words i was given was “that’s not my job” and would need to ask my school for help. Which at that point left me feeling hopeless. The staff have been rude and really no help so I decided to change surgery’s. My grandmother who I was living with didn’t want to bother with the hassle and years later it doesn’t appear to have changed… she has been attempting to make an appointment and even getting through to the surgery is a task and has really been given poor treatment. They were also rude and dismissive when she attempted to book an appointment in person as she doesn’t have a cellphone and the landline had been taken down due to selling the house. We did eventually sort the appointment but I’m very happy for when we can move her to a different surgery. If you’re looking at registering here I really wouldn’t bother. From the background I have in healthcare they certainly do not hold the standards for the NHS. Even considering the year we have with covid and how difficult it has been for everyone the problems with this surgery have been going on far before covid.
Receptionists and in-house pharmacists have been given carte Blanche to change medication at a whim that has been prescribed by hospital consultants. Pre ordained prostate specific blood tests have not been carried out in 4 years. If you can get past the receptionists, pharmacists or so called nurse specialists and see a doctor, you may receive decent care from a doctor. Medications, prescribed by consultants, have been changed by in house pharmacists with no support or back up or check to see how you are doing! With the amount of patients registered, their budget should be significant and yet they are running with only 1 full time GP and 3? Part time GP’s. I am looking to change my care provider ASAP. Enough is enough!!!
2 weeks I've been trying to call them now ......nothing but engaged tone all day everyday ....... hope you don't suffer mental health issues because you won't get seen
If you’re looking for an ‘end of life’ practice these are your people! They don’t care, are extremely rude and leave you feeling ignored and vulnerable. On the plus side you save on prescription costs as even when they do see you they won’t issue the prescriptions to the pharmacy….
Cannot fault the staff here. The reception staff are caring and doctors are fabulous
