There was a baby shower going on that they were very busy with so I will likely have to go again to review certain elements fully. Importantly, the food was good. Unfortunately the ale I had didn't taste its best, but with everything going on, I didn't mention it. Staff were polite. It's a small establishment with a little bar type room that is seperate from the main dining area. It's quite charming. There's a good amount of parking outside which makes it very convenient compared to some places.

Lovely local pub and inn. The pub is a small room centred around the television with sports and offers cheap pints, perfect for an afternoon drinking. The restaurant is good, had a fish and chips which was freshly prepared, my wife had lamb which was tasteful. The rooms are modern and very comfy. Staff was very friendly. Overall a great place to eat, drink and stay.

A smudge of limp green stuff, topped with soggy bread and a single, cold mushroom completed my £6 starter. On the plus side, the mushroom was expertly sliced. The lamb was served cold, I suspect it was probably a similar temperature to when it was found on the Black Mountain after being hit by a car many moons ago. They had run out of Dauphinoise potatoes so were offered sauteed or new. Not sure which we had, they were either greasy new potatoes or particularly poor sauteed. Best part of the meal was the 1.5 hour wait for the food to arrive, after that it was all downhill.

Food was good as usual but service was very slow tonight. Waited a long time to be asked what we wanted to eat & had to keep going up to the counter to ask for drinks.

Amazing place for a few drinks with some very friendly people. We did not stay there but will do so on our next visit.
