Nice characterful room and hotel. Bed was reasonably comfortable. TV in room was a tad small considering the size of the room and the distance from the bed.

Restaurant was disappointing. Considering it was a Friday night I was in there. We were one of about 4 tables eating we felt rushed. Starters came out in no time flat, then barely after the starters had been cleared away we had the mains come out proving they were waiting under a hot lamp from the order being taken. Then we were constantly asked are we finished are we finished. If there was a line of 20 people outside I would understand but due to the emptyness you'd expect them to string it out giving a better impression of the restaurant being full.

The food itself was pretty poor. The fish was definitely not made there. It wasn't bad but it wasn't fresh.

However the beer was good, all the beer in the village is good so it isn't really a huge compliment.

Couldn't recommend it enough. We were fortunate to land on a January deal but would stay again, and gladly pay more, to revisit. The rooms, more like chalets, are well looked after and comfy and even the pub itself is excellent, from the food and drink selection to the decor.

Excellent hotel, superb value for money. Comfortable, clean, friendly, quiet, lots of parking, good quality beer and grub. Pretty building and rooms.  Will visit again.

Stayed here for 1 night, accomodation is ok. The pub is very welcoming and the food is very good. Great base if you want to explore the local area and attractions.
