This is an amazing walk and would highly recommend it to anyone! It takes in views, woodland and river walks. Was great for letting dog off lead in the woodland beware fields at start and end have livestock so keep dog on lead. Car park is small, so get there early on weekends or holidays. The walk is on All Trails. There are a few trails for different lengths which are signposted
Hackfall Woods is an amazing place. Free parking. Great walks long or short. Fantastic scenery with some history and ruins to find. Well posted with different colour walks to follow. Great for dogs and plenty of streams, woodlands, shade, odd benches to sit down on. The only thing I would say, is there is no bins anywhere not even In the carpark but apart from that, it's an amazing place to visit
Great woods to visit. Variety of walks for abilities. Lovely views, also quite sheltered for those rainy days. Fantastic free car park. Really enjoyed our visit. Not suitable for prams but baby carrier was used.
Came to this very small free car park to visit the woods. A great place to explore...even in the torrential rain and getting lost. We found so much more that way. The scenery is fantastic and the viewpoints are a great way to see the whole valley and the River Ure.
Gorgeous views. A lot paths to discover. After a few days of rain I would recommend good walking shoes or wellies!

We were very lucky to get a space straight away room for maybe 12-14 vehicles but there's overflow parking info if you do miss out. Nice view too
Good free setting off point for the fantastic woods. Only small and can get full quickly.
Hackfall is a real gem of a place to visit, Lots of space and many interesting' features' , The walk down by the river is particularly pleasant. Not sure about the recently laid gravel path but the people who look after it know what they are doing.
Quite simply one of the best cat parks I have ever used. Astonishing not only for its spacious parking bays, but also their number! Literally several spaces are available. I don't doubt that some of the best have used this carpark over the years. A joy and a pleasure to have parked here.
