Story

Located in the award winning Grade 2 listed Houldsworth Mill in Reddish, Stockport. A contemporary atmosphere has been created amongst the historic cast iron columns and arched ceilings. Having opened in December 2001 we have gained a reputation for being a friendly non-intimidating club.

As a new member at kingfisher I am very much enjoying the value for money I get. From swimming to the array of classes available I enjoy every visit I make.

Friendly staff and decent food in the cafe. Gym and other areas all very clean.  The gym itself is a decent size and has basically all of the equipment you could want although there is the odd piece that is a little worn. pool and sauna is a great addition that not every gym has  Haven't been to any classes but seems they are relatively regular and can be booked through an app.

Best gym and swimming pool. Staff are friendly and helpful. Love the boxercise and martial art class with Jean-Paul who makes it fun. Good personal trainer too.

Great gym friendly and the classes with john paul are excellent really gets you goin good place room for improvements but otherwise great and Jodie lee that has her own set up for massages and plenty more options is ideal

I enjoyed a great spin class with JP this morning, it's really encouraged me to get back to the classes I love. He is such an energetic, enthusiastic and motivational instructor, with a massive smile

I would avoid this gym as facilities you pay for are always out of service. But you still get charged full amount.

A well managed gym.  Pros: Decent locker size It has lots of facilities like sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool Extensive equipment and multiple workout rooms  Cons: No incline bench press Weights are all over the place No punching bag Very early closing times, especially in weekends.  Overall it's still a 5 star, even with the constraints about the place.

Poor facilities with a high membership fee. I stopped going since new year but carried on paying until may to finish my 12-month contract. I've just noticed they have been taking payment since may, as they put me on a "rolling" contract despite no contact with me to see if i even wanted to renew! And even now, they expect me to pay for this month. This place is a joke, spend half the money and go to lifeleisure.

Small swimming pool now shared with kids for swimming lessons twice a week. Steam room out of order for months. Before that hot tub out of order for weeks. Probably not good value for money as unable to use pool area freely.
