I can't fault this surgery, not in the slightest. The overall care, attention to the detail and the fact that they really listen to your concerns. The standard of care is like no where else we've been registered. We typically approach a pharmacy first if we think it could be minor. More often than not they say contact the GP. They look at your records prior to making a call. In difficult circumstances, they offer empathy at the start of the call before proceeding with what needs to be done. They are patient and kind when you are anxious about examinations and often offer more time without you having to ask for it. Since moving house the practice manager who could do with brushing up on her skills while discussing the needs her of doctors patience has said they need to remove us from the list completely. I am so grateful to the care we have received these last 9 years while at king Street from myself and my family. King Street went above and beyond to connect with patients even during covid times and most especially so when we lost our baby during that time and beyond. We have no interest in registering elsewhere for the time being as the thought of it alone is quite enough to make me feel really uneasy. I would like to particularly thank Dr Ip, for being especially wonderful after the loss of my baby during lockdown, Dr Goyle whom my husband swears by hands down the best doctor he's ever seen and made him feel at ease when visiting a surgery is a source of anxiety for him. Dr Goyle again for offering full and thorough attention to my baby who has ongoing issues with her bowels. Dr Crawford for support my middle son through covid who had a persistent cough throughout and was constantly being asked to test by nursery he took so much and care with him. Dr IP again for explaining to my 12 year old about some changes in his body and making him feel comfortable and at ease instead embarrassed and ashamed just growing up. And to the reception staff, who in every case we're kind, polite and saw to it that a doctor called us when we needed Medical attention or advice. Thank you. You will be much missed by all of the Givens family.
It's was just the 1st experience but the staff seems helpful and friendly. Didn't have had to wait for long before being treated.
Shame that some people are bashing the reception staff! These ladies are doing their job very well! They've been properly trained to triage and deal with huge amounts of requests. Perhaps, take a moment to consider that they're human too before offending them. Keep up the good work!
Called today to ask two questions. My first was regarding a prescription, then as I was still talking to book a smear test, they hung up on me. That was ridiculously rude. First time I visited this doctors, I was met with a sour faced lady at reception then after my appointment I was rushed out of the back door by the nurse. I requested my pick up point to be Asda for my prescription. I waited for a week still no call. So when I called, turned out that the prescription had arrived and nothing was noted for my preferred pick up point so I had to trail back out to collect it from the doctors. Do not recommend this doctors and I shall be searching for another one.
I’ve been attending this practise for around 40 years . Apart from a little problem where my late wife and another woman shared the same dates of birth which somehow caused problems with prescriptions being mixed up.. I have had nothing but help and really good service from everybody I’ve met ..all the staff are very competent and attentive .
Like all surgeries so many patience not enough appointments. Most receptionists helpful but some over frought thus sounding rude, always busy. Drs and nurses are rushed constantly busy with patients meetings and the like.
Reception staff are rude but the doctors are generally nice. However, i have been with the surgery for 8 months now and I don’t have any of my medications on a repeat prescription. Also they have not issued prescriptions several times now for no reason. I turn up to get them and they say they dont have them and i have to order it again and go back. They have also changed their prescription system and now i dont know how it works. Overall a very frustrating experience
I wish that you could get a face to face appointment with GP.I managed to get another Telephone Consultation, but after 4 1/2 hours I still have not received my call
Reception staff cannot be more rude or unhelpful. Which is a shame as the doctors are so friendly and helpful. Think you need new receptionists or better train those there!!!
Doctors are good but ALWAYS running at least 20 mins late and when you’re in they want you out straight away but not their fault can’t be helped I suppose. Reception staff could not be more rude. They clearly don’t want to help or have any interaction with patients what so ever. I’ve seen a receptionist role her eyes when someone asked for a prescription and just a few days ago when I was in I someone walk over to the desk for the receptionist just to point to the sign in machine in the corner. My pet hate also is when they continue a personal conversation while you’re standing there for minutes and when an elderly person comes in and they guide them to use the sign in machine.. just check them in for god sake. Their face is the 1st face people see when they come in that door .. usually unwell patients, the least they could do is crack a smile and treat people with respect. It’s a joke.
