Very disappointed I park in this car park around 5 times a year but no more. I had a valid parking ticket for 12 hours parked up for 5.5 hours and got a notice to pay £100 0r £ 60 if payed within a certain time. The reason given for this charge was that the reg number of the car had not been added correctly there where 3 letters on the parking ticket that where the correct letters of the number plate. If your machine is not working correctly then I should not be charged for this. Park at your peril.
Great value and loads of spaces. We use this car park all the time. We recently parked there but I entered the wrong reg no by mistake. I emailed them straight away and explained the situation. They asked me to send a pic of my ticket which I did and they sorted it out for me. Excellent service
Update: I had a different issue and it was resolved quickly by their support. If you have any problems, contact King Park directly rather than the billing company! I was fined for parking here, despite paying after the fact i.e. realised my mistake at 5PM when I was leaving. £65 for no actual loss on their part is unreasonable, and no contact details to discuss. Well, I park here every day for work so I'll be using another car park from now on, and they'll lose a lot more than £65 revenue!
Do yourself a favour and don’t park here. I’d read some of the reviews in advance and so installed the app. When I arrived I couldn’t get a signal to use the app. So I decided to buy a ticket at a machine. The first machine I tried wasn’t working so I went to a 2nd. By this time I was getting worried I’d exceeded the allowed 10 minutes to register. I succeeded on the 2nd machine, paying for 4 hours. A week later I received a demand for £100. There was no indication of what the specific offence was. I contacted King Park directly for assistance. They were really unhelpful, effectively sending me a form letter. My only offence was not entering the registration correctly - not surprising as I was up against the clock. Registering here is like an Olympic sport. I did some research and discovered that the enforcement company is called Civil Enforcement Ltd. I further discovered that they are a member of the British Parking Association BPA. The BPA has a recommendation that their members do not charge customers more than £20 for ‘major’ registration number errors. I appealed on this basis and Civil Enforcement Ltd reduced my fine to £20. I still wasn’t thrilled but I paid it. King Park know all of this of course but gave me no information about it. The company purports to want to help its customers. This would have been easy for them but they kept this information to themselves. King Park could use any enforcement company and system it likes but has chosen this one. This company/system must catch out multiple customers every day but they persist with it. Go somewhere else. Pay a bit more. Relax in the knowledge that you won’t get screwed. Update - 13/8/24 Thanks for your response. Now you are giving me information I already have. Even if I didn’t already know this stuff it’s a bit late for it. It’s hard to believe you didn’t know about the BPA guidelines. How long have you been in this business? You didn’t get to the bottom of this issue, I did. You did nothing to help me except send two useless emails. Google Maps reviews is replete with comments from people who have fallen foul of your operation. Why don’t you do something about it?
AVOID!!! It is on waste ground with little to no lighting and cameras, down a very quiet and secluded road. Park at your own risk. I usually park here because it's cheap. I received a fine of £60 for staying over by 5mins. You can't speak to anyone and if you try to appeal the fine increases to £100. A £60 fine for staying 5 mins over is ridiculous and unreasonable, especially after paying for a ticket in the first place . I am happy to pay for another hour for the time I was there but there is no option other than appealing which will only cost you more. Do you self a favour and find some else. Parkbe in the centre of town is cheap and safe.
Have parked here before with no issue, although the site isn’t very well kept. However on my most recent visit, I paid for parking overnight using the ticket machine, and then in the morning I paid twice, on the app, to extend. 16 days after my visit I received a PCN. I had parked on the 19th May, the letter was not sent until the 30th May and I didn’t receive it until the 6th June, which meant one week of the two week reduced price payment period had passed. Luckily I had kept the ticket I got from the machine, but it’s clear they bank on the fact people don’t keep them, especially when I didn’t receive the PCN for going on three weeks after my parking. My advice to other users is to keep hold of your tickets, or take pictures of them when you park as who knows when they will try and scam you out of the money - I had clearly paid so no idea why I received the PCN. It’s also worth noting that the payment on my bank statement showed as ‘CE solicitors’ rather than any reference to a car park, so I initially had panicked that I didn’t have proof of payment.
I had tried to pay with my credit card and mobile contactless payment but it did not go through. After a while I managed to pay with coins. However, after 1,5 months, I received a £60 fine. Fourtunately, I have a proof which I took a photo of my ticket. I will object for this problem and appeal to Civil enforcement. I recommend to others to keep their ticket. Or not recommend to park here anymore. In my opinion, they make as much money from fines as from parking fees.
Really reliable car park. Heads up for anyone who uses it regularly use the APP to pay for parking! I get notified when it runs out and it’s easier than using the machines as they can be temperamental
Cheap parking near Liverpool marina, you can pay by card on site
Very competitive price and close to waterfront. Spaces available, I'd definitely use again
