Combines gaming and karting, the outcome is amazing. Innovative idea which works very well. Winner is decided by a points based system with less emphasis on overtaking and more on the gaming element using a virtual laser to strike opponent for example. This is something we enjoyed and we felt safe and very excited during our races. It was quite hard to find so make sure you leave with plenty of time and check your route in advanced. Friendly staff who are enthusiastic about the experience.
I had promo ticket prices as I was among the first Guinea pigs for the chaos karts team to try out this experience with - so I had the ‘no trimmings’ experience but all the fun of the karts inc the light display of gems and energy to collect being beamed down onto the floor and the karts being able to sabotage to karts in front or behind upon building enough energy - which was an amazing element of the experience. I genuinely feel it is an inspired idea and I had a brilliant time. Super fun and competitive with friends. By the end of it I had laughed so hard my sides ached. It is a spectacular and presently entirely unique experience. I would say that the actual price it shot up to was damned expensive though, and placed the experience out of my affordable range, irrespective of its unparalleled fun element. And also, I got 2 rounds of karting, each which lasted around 5 minutes. I think I would definitely be expecting more time karting if the price remains in the £40+ Pp range. For £20, it would still be pricey, but something I would be happily introducing new acquaintances to. It is great though. It really is super, super fun, and I absolutely applaud the team who came up with it and somehow made it a reality.
Was worried this would be a bit gimmicky as it's brand new but as 3 adults we had SO much fun! 8 "races" but winning is based in points not places oe speed, 4 incredible tracks and lots of powerups to try out. Would love to come back with a bigger group of 6-8 to take over the whole track!
Epic! Had such an amazing time at Chaos Karts. When when we first booked, the event had not long opened, and had a few teething problems which they now seem to have resolved. Sadly, this led to our first session getting cancelled, but the team were really great in getting us in for another ride and sorting it all out for us. In the end, it was TOTALLY worth the wait, the whole gang had so much fun. A fabulous concept, brilliantly executed. Big thanks to Megan, Andrew, and Dan our 'fun facilitator' who was an absolute delight. Best of luck with the reopening, we will definitely be back to see you in the New Year.
Such a cool place! I was lucky enough to be invited to a launch even and had no idea what to expect but the concept is bloody brilliant! So much fun - karting within a computer game is the nuts!! Get down there ASAP!
Brilliant chaos experience! Will definitely go again! Staff were really friendly and helpful giving a good atmosphere! Read critisism about it being in a bad area or difficult to find... Google maps takes you directly to the front doors and we made it in and out without getting stabbed
Did this with a few mates for a birthday thing. Positives: + It is a lot of fun, everyone really enjoyed the karting. +Lots of data provided on your performance. Negatives: - The lounge is not an enjoyable place to spend more than 5 minutes we were there an hour because of a delay as there is very limited seating. - You only spend 30 minutes actually racing. Half the time is spent watching other people race. - On the day that we went only the floor projection was working. Overall I'm glad I went and think that off peak price is just about worth it. In hindsight we probably should have waited a bit longer to give them more time to iron out some of the issues.
Was an amazing experience and for any fans of arcade like racing video games, it will be right up your street or racetrack? Great staff, very friendly and accommodating.
6 of us booked this costing us over £300 as we love Mario cart and thought this would be loads of fun, we live in Hampshire and this was taking place in London, as some of us got into the car to drive there I opened my emails to get the address and saw an email from them, when I opened it I read that they were cancelling our booking due to a power failure…… this was sent at 5:57…. our booking was at 8 and they ask you to arrive 30mins early. we had paid for parking, paid for congestion charge, 3 of the party were already on the train to the location. when i asked about them refunding me this even as a gesture of good will considering we would be looking to rebook I was told no as per their terms and conditions, I spoke to the CAB and so on who advised I could go down the small claims route as a matter of principle rather than cost as I do not feel we should be out of pocket but yet the company still said no, poor business management in my opinion, stepping over a £ to pick up a penny. this company has lost £330+ from us over £30, I say plus as we also arrange company nights out so there was potential for future business as well as us looking to rebook for another day. however they did advise me that they are refunding me the £1 admin charge which I paid even though they don’t normally do that every cloud! and how Andrew who works in the Manchester office abandoned his weekend plans to assist with resolving the power outage, thanks Andrew but we abandoned ours as well and we were left out of pocket… I am not one to complain in such a negative way but I feel truly annoyed by this situation and how it was handled. Read the reviews and don’t prebook anything…. just incase. they cancel your booking last minute.
WARNING - phone in advance and demand that your booking is not double booked. Ask for written assurance. If you're travelling as a group, get written assurance that you'll be able to go at the same time. I would recommend ignoring the advice to arrive 30 minutes early. This just increases the time they make you wait around for. Our group was made to wait initially for 30 minutes. We learned that Chaos Carts had double booked us with another big group and we were made to wait for them all to arrive. We were then made to wait and watch for a further 45 minutes while the two other groups went first the groups that arrived 30 minutes after us. Reading the other reviews, it looks like we were short changed too as we only got 4 races. Because we had been double booked, they didn't have enough charged karts for our group to go at the same time so our group was split up into two sets of four. All in all we paid around £250 to wait around for an hour and half and then get 15 minutes each in the car. No apology. No acknowledgement. In addition, the iPad they use to control the race kept running out of battery and losing information about the scoring of each race. There was no water available which given the absurd waiting times is abysmal. Fun - but don't get screwed by the awful booking processes and the terrible service.
