Story

The Khandoker is a family run business.
Founded in 1937 by the late Nazir Uddin under the original Bombay Restaurant right here in Manchester.
In the 60’s you may recall The Manzil Restaurant on Stockport Road. Nazir was the pioneer of Indian cuisine in the North West of England.
70 years on, the family are still serving contemporary and authentic Indian and Bangladeshi food.
To this day we are continuing the legacy with restaurants in Didsbury and Bramhall both providing innovative dishes from classical recipes with a modern day interpretation.

very nice quality food served by efficient friendly staff
Food is always top drawer. Portions are 150% of a standard Indian restaurant. The waiters are polite engaging and well mannered. It's very good value you pay more and you get more. They always have a deal on so you always leave feeling you've done well. Can't recommend them enough!
Went with hubby and our two boys. Fresh warm papadoms to start, followed by delicious mains. Lovely atmosphere. And fairly priced. Will be returning again very soon. Boys say its their new favourite restaurant.

Absolutely great food, really recommend the Lamb Achari so fresh! Cameron is a really nice guy and makes you feel welcome! Even chucked in a cheeky ice-cream for us!
We love to go out. Last night we came to this fine restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a beautiful evening there with fine meal and an experienced crew and a talented chef. We put this restaurant in our list and we will certainly go again very soon. We highly recommend.
One of the best curry houses in the area. The staff are brilliant and the food is top notch. Very reasonably priced too!
really nice food and staff. I would recommend this place. only reason not 5 stars is they added 2 rounds of drinks on the bill we didnt have.
