Great little takeaway on the edge of Manchester. First time visit & enjoyed the food. Great staff and great customer service. Will return for a bigger Feast next time.Food: 4/5
After hearing about this place on social media, and a friend wanting to try it, we decided to give it a try. It’s about a 25-minute drive from Oldham. There is no parking directly outside this place, but on the side you find parking, about 2 minutes walk. Inside this place has old school canteen type seats to sit on, very cramped experience. However I always judge a place by its food and not interior. We ordered a calzone, spicy donner and mix kebab. I got to say food is average in this place for my liking. The calzone was nice, but as far as donner goes I was disappointed with flavours, they weren't induced into the donner. Overall I would say if your local give it try, but to go out of your way to travel to it, you may end up disappointed like me. On a positive the staff were friendly and nice, unlike some reviews.
Saw this place many a times on my socials and decided to drive 8.5 miles across Manchester to try their Lamb Karahi, which looked really yummy when shown by food influencers online Upon entering the premises I ascertained that their menu is more driven and specialised towards fast food pizza, burgers, kebabs, etc than actual curries. I ordered the Lamb Karahi with a naan. Although the portion size was enough for two, the actual dish did not represent a Karahi dish. It was more an ordinary Meat Masala/Curry. dish. It was a 70/30 split of actual curried masala/gravy to meat. Alhumdholillah, It was filling but nothing special or to shout home about. Total cost was £13.50. Would I be returning- for a curry; no. But maybe for a pizza or burger if I ever happen to be in the area and am hungry to eat.
Cold, late and missing a pizza. Wouldn't even answer the phone. It was great last time. I'm guessing they struggle at peak times. Update. Getting into it cause I'm starving, it's drier than a nuns vulva
Amazing food and very quick service. Meat was tender and juicey Mix grill for two well worth itFood: 5/5
The options are really good but if you have even slight IBS or lower spice tolerance, avoid this place. I've tried different curries from here to give as many chances as possible but no they add ginger to almost all the currieseven the mild ones and it definitely worsens the experience. I usually have a higher spice tolerance so definitely not a one off issue. But hey, at least the food is value for money and really hygienic. And the chicken tikka starter is just delicious. Vegetarian options: The Paneer is good. But again, the ginger makes the dishes taste a bit weird.
After seeing a lot of hype on social media from various wanna be food reviewers, i decided to give this place a shot. I went for chicken donner on nan and pepperoni pizza. The chicken donner was bright red but lacked flavour or taste. The naan was a little dry and rubbery. The pizza was a slight disappointment as the dough was thick, thicker than a deep pan and so chewy but again lacked any taste from cheese and pepperoni. Overall, staff were polite but food was of a unsatisfactory standard, therefore, i score this 3 out of 5 . PS. I would like to point out that honestly these overhyped social media videos from so called influencers / reviewers are rubbish because idiots like munchbox, heyman, halal munchies review these places and state they are amazing but turn out to be rubbish; honestly thry must be getting paid to do positive review for places that do poor quality food, which is wrong.
After seeing a few videos of this place online, I thought I would try it out. It was about a 25 minute drive from Oldham. First of all, there's no parking outside the place but about 2-3 minutes walk on the side from the take away, there's parking spots. The take away sign has been updated because when we looked online, it showed pictures of the old sign so I was a little confused if it was the same place. The place isn't great for dining in as there are only 3-4 small tables because the place is small so you feel kind of cramped up but the place otherwise is clean. The place was busy with a lot of deliveries going. The service was very good, I saw a few reviews on Google saying the service was terrible so I tested them asking them a few questions and they were genuinely nice and helpful. When I asked for 1 extra sauce, they instead gave me 4 different sauces in small trays. I wanted a meat donner kebab but they ran out and only had enough to put in the calzone which we ordered and they said the new kebab would take 20 minutes but offered chicken donner instead, however instead of that, we got 2 smash burgers, a chicken fillet burger and a special calzone. Spent about £27. The calzone was really filling that had a mix of 2 different types of donner, and would say it was like a puffed up pizza. We enjoyed it and had to bring some home as it was too much for 3 people. We enjoyed the burgers too and at the end asked to take some food home and so they gave me a take away box. They asked if we enjoyed the food to which we said we did. On another table, there were six guys who had the calzone but overhead them saying they were disappointed with it. So i guess it's a mixed review as for some people who like the place and some who don't. But I would say, give it a try because it might be something you enjoy and I would say the food was 8/10 giving that extra for their service. They have videos of a man promoting the place which many reviewers mention, so I guess that's why some people expect it to be on another level. Vegetarian options: They have a small vegetarian menu that they could make if you ask them. But it's more of a meat place.
Absolutely shocking spent over £50 on a takeout for it too not even turn up. Phoned to find what happened guy told me it got delivered. When tried to explain that nobody had been & I can prove it on my ring door bell guy become a prick told me he’s not arsed & to phone Uber eats. Lucky he doesn’t get a brick slapped through the shop
Lovey food. Best place I've ordered from in msnchester big portions come from 22 mins away and was still roasting paid 3 pound for the poppadoms and about 15 sauces. Not tight with there portions definitely order againFood: 5/5
