I decided to try this place on a friend's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The satay is really nice and extremely good value as you can get 5 skewers for £6 or 10 for £10. We tried the chicken, lamb and beef and all were extremely good and had a lovely charcoal barbeque Smokey flavour to it and the satay sauce that came with it was nice and spicy. We also tried a few different dishes which were nice but I did enjoy the satay the most. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. Do not judge this place with previously low scores as this place used to be a Chinese buffet and now it isn't. I can only assume it was a bad buffet restaurant before.
I went there last night as I passed it a few times and was curious. Unfortunately, this place could really do a lot to improve. For starters, we were told that our dining time was only 30 minutes, which is just not enough time and makes you feel that you have to rush - they weren't closing anytime soon and the place was quite empty so I couldn't understand why they would impose such a tight time limit. This is also the first "all you can eat" buffet that I've ever been too that would impose such a short space of time normally its about 90 minutes or 2 hours. The food, I'm sorry to say, was dreadful. It was very obvious to tell that almost everything came from frozen: the texture of the meat was at times rubbery and hard; the sweet and sour sauce for the ribs was too sweet and thick; the taste of almost everything was just bland; the vegetables looked stale and, honestly, it was mostly just mass produced, low quality rubbish. Perhaps I'm being a bit too harsh, but when I eat out, I just don't expect to see frozen food. Please, put some passion and pride into what you are serving from good ingredients rather than just nipping over to Iceland!!!
food is terrible, on the sweet chili chicken they put some sugar and no chili and it tasted like pancakes then, don't think food is cooked fresh, spring rolls were market bought and fried very dry and burnt. The dirt in the place is revolving, I am praying I won't get sick after eating in there, avoid avoid
If there was an option for no stars this restaurant would be 0 don't even know where to start how about raw chicken in the curry, hard rice stuck to the pan couldnt even scoop it out of the container nearly all the food had been there for a long time and we arrived just after 4.30 tea time. We had 4 children with us 1 of which a baby who ate a chip and the rest left a full plate of food and even said the desert was disgusting getting to the point they charged us for the baby and all I got was sorry for the whole experience absaloutly disgusted
A bit of a bargain. But don't expect excellent standards. Me and a friend were seated by a chap who basically pointed to a table and asked for drinks, after that your left with little to no instruction other than to just head towards the food and serve yourself, slightly different to other all you can eats' where you get some sense of order. There is a lot of food which is clearly store bought then heated up, like pizzas and cocktail sausages ? but there is also some real authentic Chinese cuisine. Lots of chicken, and soups, prawns are fully whole and are an acquired taste. Atmosphere was quite chaotic with people jumping up to get food in such a small confined space. Stereotypical Asian music played in the background Chinese flutes, ect so the ambience was quite nice, although it was very dark inside and dimly lit. The place could use a lick of paint
The worst Buffet I have ever been too. Quality and choice was lacking Plus has anyone seen/had a Pizza option here??? as stated on front sign. I've been here twice and on the open day Keco served a cheap Iceland looking pizza which was like it had been there under the heat laps all day dry and burnt, and also it wasn't Duck and pancakes, but Chicken.
bargain at £7. however u don't get crispy duck and pancakes. they cost extra if you want them. the chicken satay , lemon chicken, sweet chilli chicken is excellent . a good budget buffet.
Absolutely the most disgusting hygiene standards in this place, we watched a member of staff come out of the toilets with 'half arm' length rubber gloves on, they pulled off the gloves and slapped them down on the counter right alongside a pile of clean and freshly washed plates, without a shadow of doubt, whatever germs were on the gloves would have splattered up the side of the stack of plates!. Where had those gloves been? What possible reason could they have had for rubber gloves in a toilet? Disgusting! What makes this worse is that we paid and left immediately after seeing this. We received a mouthful of abuse when we challenged their actions and hygiene standards.
The food was great and the portions as big as you like. The restaurant is looking tired and could use a coat of paint but don't let that deter you from visiting. The staff were friendly enough as well.
Lovely setting ... food out far too long .... not enuff clientele to use what's out so it doesn't get changed just left out till used Then replaced probably trying to keep wasteage down cost wise ... but not right .... !!!! the beef in a black bean sauce had a skin on it n all around the edges of the hot pan chicken balls sat cold on a plate !!!! Donuts so hard u could use them as bouncy balls..... didn't attempt any desserts saw sum flies on a piece of Swiss roll n a mousse type dessert n that put me off immediately... The Best thing in there was the soup ... which was lovely and hot ! We hadn't been left more than ten mins when I n the child that was with me needed the toilet ... my Partner barely ate anything and I actually had to leave a rather substantial amount of food on my plate ... I appreciate it is a low end all u can eat but was still deeply disappointed it definitely needs major improvements... and for over 30 quid with drinks .. I felt like I had wasted money ... shame as we don't get to eat out a lot n i was trying to do sumthing nice for us as a treat .... we won't b bk unless standards /More variety food-wise improves or new management takes over !!!!
