We had an amazing experience at Blackfrias! The restaurant itself has a medieval architecture that made us feel in the old times. The food is not only delicious but sophisticated. The ingredients have an outstanding quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming people. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.
Had a 'cook at home's take away meal for valentine's day. Expensive for what it was. Cooking instructions seemed to leave the beef Wellington under cooked pastry but browned on top and over cooked fillet. Would rather have better value from Dobson and Parnell's standard take away. Veritable mountain of waste plastic....
Best restaurant in Newcastle bar none. Wife and I had a fantastic meal. Can fully recommend the grouse main course. Will be back
Such a special place for Sunday dinner - lovely cosy and historic atmosphere, fantastic food and Bloody Mary's, very attentive staff. Couldn't ask for more really! Can't wait to go back and try their menu on a weekday. Thank you!
Lovely venue but the food was just "nice". For the price I must admit I expected more. The food was beautifully presented but could definitely have tasted better. A bit disappointing.
