There are so many delicious sounding dishes on the menu that we found it hard to choose. Once we had finally decided, the food came astoundingly fast and was really tasty. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. I'd definitely return to give more of their dishes a try.Food: 5/5

Found this place on recommendation of a friend. So glad we went! Food was fabulous, spicy, but not too much, large portions with enough to take home. Stars off were for having to go find the waiter to take our order and the time it took after reminding them to get the drinks to us. The food however was quick to show up and tasted so good! Little pricey overall, but then where isn't these days. Went on a Thursday evening and had booked online, but there were still a few tables available.

First time trying Malaysian food, honestly a bit disappointed. Not sure if it just wasn't for me however I generally love all Asian food. The ingredients weren't amazingly fresh tasting, the sauces were quite plain and the rice was not the nicest. The only thing that comes to mind is that it tastes similar to something coming out of a restaurant chain. On top of that we ended up spending £50 for two mains, two drinks and a side, many places in Newcastle for better value.

Chilli Padi have a huge menu with a variety of dishes to choose from. Each dish with its own bursting flavour. The portion sizes are huge and worth the spend. Will definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes.Food: 5/5

Found this restaurant by chance when visiting Newcastle and I must say it’s one of the best I’ve tried! I ordered a nasi lemak and it tasted exactly like the one I had when I was in Malaysia. Staff were very lovely and helpful, the place was very clean and neat. Food waiting time isn’t long. Portions are pretty big so you get a lot for what you pay for. The only minor downside is the choice of music in the background! Doesn’t go with the restaurant

Lovely service, very friendly staff and the food really was amazing. First time here and the large Smoked Chicken was probably the nicest meal I've had all year. The sweet sticky sauce with the  ever so slightly crispy chicken along with spring onions was so nice. If only I knew how to make it. I'll certainly be back!Food: 5/5

I won't eat at this restaurant in the future. Not recommended either. Ordered takeout from this restaurant today. The takeout has plastic bags, and coconut rice has lids. When I am ready to eat, my friend asked me to share a photo and then he found a stapler needle on it. I can't imagine what would happen if I ate it directly. I called the restaurant immediately. The staff said it might be a delivery issue and asked me to contact the food delivery app because they don't have a driver to pick up or return the food. I don't think the courier would open so many layers of packaging and put needles on the rice, and there is no strong response to complaints on the delivery app.

Disclaimer is that these are old photos,I haven’t dined in this lovely place for months due to taking the food out but I rarely do that. I hope to dine in sometime again,the indian style noodles were absolutely fantastic along with the dumplings and soy sauce. It would definitely cost 40 pound or more if your with 3 people and your careful with what you order. Even if it’s pricey,the food is worth it. Plus the place is Halal.

First time trying this place since moving to Newcastle - wow, the food here is very close to being as good as the real thing in Malaysia, dare I say it, maybe even better? We ordered, Kung Po Chicken Bites, Tom Yum Soup, Salt and Chilli Chips & Firecracker Chicken with Jasmine Rice, everything was spot on! Full of flavour, juicy and just perfect, the soup was full of amazing flavours, sour, sweet and chilli, everything! Would highly recommend 100%
