The food was absolutely gorgeous. The portion size is generous. Very good prices. And if you get here before 5pm, you can enjoy the special meal deal. Only downside is they accept only cash.Food: 5/5
Have been visited many times over years and always satisfied with their food. The dishes are delicious, with quality ingredients and big portion too. The services are as professional as its dishes. Highly recommended.
Got a ‘three combination roast’ for takeaway. You can choose which combination you want. Mine included roast duck, roast belly pork and honey barbecue roast pork. It was good. The roast belly pork was crispy on the outside. Good flavor. I would say they probably gave me 6 pieces each.
This is a sad Chinatown. It's literally one street and some of the shops here are even Chinese. Plenty of closed shops here, but there's some decent restaurants here and also a proper Chinese supermarket, which does have an excellent range of Chinese groceries. Fine if you've never seen a Chinatown before, but otherwise don't bother. It is a good place to get Asian food though, if that's what you're after.
Best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle. Very tasty and affordable price. Beef flank rice and mapo tofu rice are spectacular. The guy from this place is very sweet as well. *Update* I feel like the flavor and taste are massively changing every week, and they’re getting worse and worse. It’s such a shame as we really enjoyed the mapo tofu from here when we first tried this place. It’d been amazing for years according to local friends, what happened? T.T
Anyone experienced China Town Express? China Town Express @ Stowell St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4XQ We were informed by friends that the claypot dishes here are most delicious. We ordered Vegetarian Fried Rice and Claypot Fish with tofu. We had no idea that the claypot fish would be served with pork, so we pushed the pork aside Michelle and I don't eat pork. That aside, it was a pleasant meal, a simple lunch with lovely Fried Rice. I particularly enjoy Fried Rice that's hot from the wok. I'd have to experience more of their claypot dishes to give a full review, in time
Super friendly people, nice informal place, awesome food. A bit pricey but its a fast food that really worth the visit. Duck is something!

When I was missing home made or you can say Chinese food, this location made my search end. Being Vegetarian didn't had much option to try but tried veg chowmein and other day fried rice both very just awesome and upto the mark.
