We love this place, it is in a great location with a welcoming atmosphere. An epic selection of beers and divine Indian street food from from Paaji’s. On top of that is the great & friendly service. We had Kernel Biere Saison with Damson for beer, Duck Madras and Marsala Fish & Chips. Superb every time.Food: 5/5
I think of all the places I've been going in Nottingham for about 15+ years, this place has probably changed the least. Always something interesting on tap, bottle selection is decent, and the relatively recent addition of the curry kitchen means I'm here more frequently than ever. Great value, tastes spot on and has vegan options. Sometimes it's hard to find a table in the late afternoon/early evening but in a city full of empty units its nice to see somewhere with some atmosphere.
Family favourite for a pub lunch. Great staff. Great food. Great beer. Sorted! Burgers and all the loaded fries are very good.Food: 5/5
Absolutely superb, one of the best pubs in Nottingham. It's somewhat hidden near St Mary's in the Lace Market area so you probably won't find it by just casually walking around; however, it's absolutely worth finding. It's a Castle Rock pub with an excellent selection of 6 cask and 18 craft beer on keg alongside some more mainstream offerings, they have some really good and quite unusual beers on, there's also spirits, soft drinks etc. Their bottle and can selection is worth a special mention, it's absolutely outstanding with some seriously top tier beers available. Food is by Paaji and is India street food alongside full dishes, it's also outstanding...some of the best I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.
Didn't try the food, but will be back to try that with a group of friends. Excellent range of beers and drinks. Often some rarer or unusual ones. Nice atmosphere and nicely busy. Recommended.Service: 5/5
Great pub that had loads of beer & craft beer selections. I would say there is at least 8 each of keg & cask + ciders, wines etc. Guy who runs it is very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Food looked excellent although we didn't eat here. It also seems to open early on the weekend rather than 12 like all others.
Most delicious-smelling pub in the UK? Really excellent Indian food from substantial snacks to full meals. Very good balanced range of beers with a handful of ciders. Nice airy vibe with a pleasing number of stools for solo drinking. Visited several times in a brief trip to Nottingham and shall be sure to return.
This is the best pub in Nottingham. Nothing else comes close. A craft beer nerd? Better selection than Junkyard. Cask ale selection and a good amount of world beers for the person who only drinks Belgian trappist fare. Not only that but they have a vast aray of gin, whisky/whiskey and wine. The curries served are excellent, very fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is always nice and relaxed, so great to go for a bit of a chat or even on your own.
Wow, what a lovely experience. Great selection of real ales, cask, and world whiskys. The food is exceptional! The location is tucked away in the Lace Market, which adds to the experience.
My favourite pub in Nottingham, brilliant selection of beers. Food looked good but we had already eaten, sadly.Service: 4/5
