Our first time visiting this establishment, we travelled to see Dunes, an excellent band from Newcastle. We enjoyed our food, there's a great selection of craft ales available and all the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The old chapel upstairs is where the bands play, it's a truly beautiful building and full credit to the sound engineer, the sound was excellent. We will definitely revisit and if you love live music, it's a hidden gem!
Our first visit for a gig, and what a fabulous place! The building itself is a wonderful rabbit warren full of history, and the Chapel venue upstairs is superb. The sound is with the sound engineer commanding from the pulpit We ate before the gig, and both had the Buffalo Chicken burger, which was excellent, so tasty There is an amazing selection of as to be expected. All the staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere.
I spent a great afternoon in Nottingham with a few friends, enjoying beers on a glorious summer day. Our visit to The Angel was, for me, the highlight of the day. The beer selection was exceptional and impeccably maintained, particularly the stout. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making it the perfect spot for a social gathering. Special mention to Dylan/Dillon for looking after us.
The food was bad. The order was wrong too real calamari instead of vegan. The calamari was dry, like it was old. The tacos were bad, no flavour and dry. The fries were dry and more like crisps. The mushy peas were dry. The only good thing was the vegan Mac and cheese. For the prices we expected better. We came quite late and I wish they’d said no to food service if they weren’t prepared to serve good food at that time.
Awesome craft beer pub and they brew onsite. Good choice of craft beers and some real ales & cider. Didn't have food but the roast dinner looked fab. Friendly staff, was here on a Sunday afternoon having a chilled few pints while listing to a dj spinning some great soul & funk on the decksFood: 5/5
I love this pub! It has a real Camden feel being so close to a busy street and with the smell of hops from the brewery! The staff are awesome and very friendly and helpful... the food was brilliant and well priced... we will definitely return and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants great food, excellent service, and brilliant beer!! Thanks, guys! See you again soon!!
Amazing pub right in the heart of town centre. Great for a get together with group of friends. Chippy next door is absolutely mint as well. Great atmosphere with top notch staff.Food: 5/5
Cracking real ale/microbrewery pub. Delicious food with GF and Vegan options. Quirky rustic decor and an alternative vibe. Friendly staff and as you would expect a large range of drinks plus constantly changing beers. Great atmosphere. Enjoy. MFood: 5/5
I was served by Tamara on the bar and she was a delight, so helpful and friendly had a lovely chat and great drinks as well, will definitely be back and couldn’t recommend this place more! Service was impeccableService: 5/5
Fantastic local brewery tap-house! Very friendly and welcoming bar staff. There’s as many as 8 beers on tap, two of them at least of the writing of this review, are brewed in the building. Decent menu of food too. Worth a stop on a Notts pub crawl.Service: 5/5
