If you’re thinking of joining this surgery then I’d advise you not to. I moved from another area and had no idea surgeries could be so bad. It’s is impossible to get an appointment. If the receptionist doesn’t think you’re poorly enough they advise to call 111 and if they think you’re too poorly they advise to call 999.
I called to say the medication I had received via post was different from what i had been prescribed by the surgery. The phone operator phoned me back to say that she had just checked with a GP and that it was the same thing just a different brand, I tried explaining that it was not the same as it had completely different ingredients written on the front of the box, which she completely ignored, and told me “you do not know more than GP, so I’m going to hang up now”. The operators had also spoken to my pharmacy and said the medication they had sent me was correct. I then went to a local boots pharmacy to speak directly with a pharmacist who confirmed that it was not the same thing at all, their assistant then had to stop serving customers and call the pharmacy I’m registered with to confirm that what I had been sent was wrong, and that the Jubilee phone operators had been incorrect to say it was the same thing. If I had listened to the phone operator, I would have ended up taking the wrong medication, which also has different side effects, and is especially dangerous when both pills run the risk of blood clotting. Im not even lying when I say this is the first time I’ve written a bad review for anything in my life. Other than the phone operators jubilee is a good surgery, but I honestly can’t not leave a bad review because they kept telling me to take the wrong medication.
Totally gone down the toilet for health care. Over 45 mins wait on the phone, ended up going In as it was faster for an appointment for my husband he needs face to face or an allocated time appointment as he works but they won't accommodate that. Why are we now paying into the NHS when you can't get an appointment excuse this time Strep A time before staff shortage and last time Covid....111 or 999 or gosport war memorial walk in. Used to be an amazing surgery.
Problems yet again with my mum's prescription. Time and tome again they mass it up and when you phone through they are unhelpful and refuse to put you in contact with a supervisor or the practise manager. They put the phone down on my brother even though he was not abusive. Ended up my brother going down to the surgery. Absolutely inadequate patient service and totally dire surgery. We are considering taking this further as this is not the first time.
There seems to he a huge communication issue with the surgery. Prescriptions cancelled patients not informed staff in the office refusing to speak to patients heaping huge problems on the poor receptionist . I felt sorry for the young girl today. What has happened to what was a lovely surgery
Apart from all the other reviews which I totally agree with. I have tried contacting the surgery to get access to my medical notes. Not getting anywhere. My husband is a patient at another surgery and he phoned to get access to his medical notes, they did it over the phone for him, literally took a few minutes, I've been waiting weeks. What is going on with this surgery nothing works anymore, for years it was a lovely surgery but since amalagamating and now calling it Sovereign everything has gone to pot.
It honestly feels like the service has collapsed. Such a shame. If you are lucky enough to even get in the que in the morning you have to wait in line after 28 people for up to 40 minutes. The phone lines are then completely closed down often due to too many calls. Prescriptions are also very often muddled up between doctors and chemist. Combining resources with the other surgeries just hasn’t worked unfortunately in my opinion. Whatever the funding model is I don’t think it’s working.
My baby had his jabs today and the nurse was super helpful providing him excema cream at the same time. I thought it was great as it was my first visit to this surgery.
I have never had any problems with the surgery staff or doctors. We have always received a great standard of care and fast responses. Dr Naylor has been absolutely wonderful and patient and very helpful with all of my family. My daughter was poorly whilst I was away visiting family and within 2 hours I had received a call and a prescription was waiting at the nearest pharmacy. For us I would recommend this surgery and in 2 years never had a problem.
My husband has had horrific experience here. Just to get through on the phone takes well over 25 minutes at any given time. Constant staff shortages are blamed with the staff sounding harassed and stressed. How is it so difficult to get basic prescriptions and health care from this surgery? No follows ups when promised. Disgrace to the NHS. Also witnessed another patient livid at the staff when last visited. Don’t blame the guy. Clearly this is lacking in patient care. Shut the place down.
