I absolutely understand the pressure the NHS is under, but the call centre this GP surgery makes it awfully difficult to get the care you need. They don't seem very understanding, and their tone can be quite off-putting and rude. It's also frustrating that appointments are only available on the day you call and insist that no "routine" appointments can be made. It feels like they're trying to discourage people from contacting them altogether, which is worrying. Makes you wonder how easy it is for folks to see a doctor when they need to, and if they're truly looking after their patients' well-being.
I have been with Meon Health Practice Highlands for 4 years. During this time I have not met my doctor face to face. I have struggled to get an appointment every time I've needed it. Resulting in me having to leave it and get on. I would ring and be on hold for 55mins from the moment it would open to have no triage or routine appointments. Sometimes I would be happy to be seen in weeks time, but could never get one. Have changed surgeries and have an appointment booked in, phone answered promptly too.
Disgusting. Their system is disgusting. 3 months for a note, for someone just to sit down and put a signature on something. Am i supposed to know 3 months in advance when something is going to happen? I phoned someone up on Monday and they promised they would mark it as urgent. Today they told me it hadn't yet been allocated. I don’t understand why it’s taken so long. I havent been to the doctors in 5 years!!! I get nothing from there service, absolutely nothing and now the deadline is going to pass and its all there fault and my mental health is in the toilet. They need to be held accountable for this. Disgusting.
What a shocking way to treat patients. After putting in a request for a prescription like stated on their site I'm then told to call the surgery which I did only to sit on hold for 22 minutes and then when someone answered they tell me there's nothing they can do and I need to go online Monday between 11-12 to get an appointment. Which means yet another day of work to try and get some medication.
If it were possible to give negative stars I would. If it were possible to change surgery I would. If you move into Meons catchment DO NOT REGISTER Here stay at your old surgery. I have had major issues with my routine prescription ordering I ask for 30mg as per my consultation and I almost every other request get only 20mg. My medication maintains my mental stability and having a dosage hit massively effects me. And one time they just didn't even bother putting the request through as they changed their system after I had done it. Hopefully they improve but they have merged three rubbish surgeries into one super rubbish practice group.
How could I login at 8am as seen from the print screen and all GP appointments were already unavailable when the requests only starts at 8am. I couldn’t get any GP appointment after trying again and again. And you wonder why A and E is full all the time with non emergency patients?
I had a really quick and efficient blood sample with nurse Van der Merwe today - chatted to me throughout to distract me and it was nearly painless, very pleasant to speak to and efficient. Reception were also very quick and helpful when the automatic check in system was malfunctioning and I saw them treat all patients with patience and kindness. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard.
This is the worse practice in Hampshire, you can’t even do a proper e consult they tell you to call close to 8 when you call around that time to try to see a doctor “unfortunately we are experiencing high call volume” at 08:01 in the morning I waited up just so I can see the doctor I’m so ill and can’t even see the GP, 111 never fails me yet, I was registered with a different gp I should’ve just stayed with them and drive to there because it would actually worth it. Y’all need to get y’all business together
I’ve been trying to get an appointment for over 2 weeks now calling up at 8 everyday as I can’t get to the surgery to fill in a form. I’m in a lot of pain and want to find out what is going on but it’s not classed as an emergency apparently. For the last 2 weeks there have been no routine appointments available. Worst doctors surgery in the area. Why can’t they be like other doctors surgery’s and enable online consultations.
This like many practices of the nhs is an abusive area of health care. The turn off there online appointments. As they’re gone in under 30s. I’ve timed it. And now I mentioned it. They will move fence post. Show more abuse to the sick public. Each dr only has to see 3 patients and a couple of emergencies? You ask abusive questions like what would you like from today? Like you’re working a dr aren’t you? Why would someone phone the dr I wonder? That’s an antagonistic question, said to provoke. This is abuse and gas lighting what you’re doing to the sick and vulnerable of this country. And it’s not the boots on the grounds fault, all the dr and nurses and even receptionist are doing their best and are being abused by being made to work under such guidelines set by their bosses who don’t have a care in the world about anyone other than their own selves. Sort it out.
