Mine and my families experience of Jubilee Surgery has been excellent. Yes, with all the new houses being built there aren't enough appointments. The staff are friendly and once you are in the system, the whole process works well. If we have ever had any emergencies, then we have always been seen quickly.
As a relatively new patient, so far all my care has been excellent. I was particularly grateful for how quickly a request for information was dealt with, and the way that those staffing reception are always really helpful. I absolutely understand getting a GP appointment can be tricky, but really appreciate the way I've been helped with every query or request.
The only establishment that has ever made me angry enough to leave a review. I called at 7:59 AM and before any daily appointments have time to be made the list is "full". This can be explained by them having an appointment list beyond same day but I was told on the phone they're only taking emergency same day appointments. The language of this statement I kept coming across "urgent" is intentionally confusing, contradictory and predatory. You have to decide first of all of you're MEDICAL ISSUE that is threatening you HEALTH is "urgent" enough so as to vocally say "it's an emergency" and you need "same day care" however it's not enough of an emergency to call 111 and not TOO much of an emergency to call 999. Obviously confusing and unnecessarily asks an individual to decide whether their issue is worth "causing an inconvenience" which will obviously deter people too polite to get help with their problems. I've tried to book an appointment with this surgery at least 10 times over the last year at least and have encountered problems and actually failed every time. every time and it always requires you as an individual to take the extra mile in order to get seen.
Been in twice recently for blood tests and on time, easy and the blood nurse Scottish lady always very friendly. It’s not always easy to get a doc’s appointment these days but recent interactions here have been great. Hence the 5 stars.
Last week I spoke to a lovely receptionist who was very patient first thing in the morning even when there was a queue of 30 people on the phone. When she got to me she triaged me appropriately, was very pleasant to speak to and I got a call back quickly from the clinical team to arrange an appointment. I then had a face to face appointment with the very professional and kind Dr Helen Pethrick who gave me all the time of her day bless her and was very patient with me explaining all my symptoms - I felt reassured and listened to. Thank you to all staff for working so hard.
If I could give -stars I would. Jubilee surgery is a joke. I called a few weeks ago and after 30mins of being on hold I was told there are no appointments. I called dead on 8am today and I got cut off, I tried a further 7 times being cut off each time. I work full time I do not have the luxury of just popping into the surgery at 8am to get an appointment, not to mention the cues you have to stand in. This is not the first time I have had negative experiences with this surgery and the receptionists just seem to think it’s a bit of a joke, they really couldn’t careless. It was bad before but now it’s even worse that meon health took over.
Woeful! Almost impossible to get an appointment Phoning is pointless. Answer machine is 'Too busy so hang up and try later' Later: "Our triage list is full so try again tomorrow" Or use Anima Anima is a joke - no way to get a nurse appointment to check a possible diabetic ulcer - "Visit in person or call this number" So the ulcer will get worse until it requires a GP appointment and yet another course of ABs Utterly shambolic! My advice! Move house within the catchment of a different practice!
Horrendous service! My whole family have always been with Jubilee and since Covid they have got even worse. It feels like most of the doctors are under qualified and have no idea what to do, you get fobbed off every time you try to book an appointment and when serious issues arise there is no help. Seriously concerning! Unfortunately I think private healthcare is the only answer now.
This surgery is a joke , they make it almost impossible to see a doctor or make an appointment. You can't evan leave an enquiry regarding an ongoing condition at the reception desk. Or use the online system because it's always full. Bottom line is the don't want to know and will do anything to get rid of you.
Phoned whiteley surgery today to get an appointment to see the doctor I got one strate away at jubilee for 530 the surgery was so carming and relaxing the lady doctor I saw she was lovely and kind and caring she put me at ease and was helpful and very gentle I would recommend jubilee surgery thank you so much for the help I reserved yesterday
