THIS PRACTISE CHARGED £210/hr TO FILL OUT INSURANCE FORMS RELATED TO NHS SURGERY. The service was far from £210 an hour worth of service from losing notes to writing out receipts that bore no resemblance to work charged. On the second time of asking for the receipt/invoice description of work to be corrected the doctor took the rather immature decision to refuse to give me my insurance form back. The manager of the the surgery stepped in and had to write the receipt out for Dr Wade in the end as he just didn’t seem to grasp what was going on. The manager also retrieved my insurance forms from the reluctant doctor. The whole process was very strange and to top it off the hand writing looked like a five year olds. This is an edited review and I have increased the star rating from 1 star to 2 stars as the manager was so helpful in getting my forms back from the doctor. The whole process has been beyond unprofessional.

Been going there since I was young, probably around 15 years. Staff used to be helpful and polite but in recent months they’re very disrespectful and not understanding. Tends the be newer staff with these issues - possibly try to hire people with reasonable customer service experience.

Although generally I have had good service from this surgery I am somewhat dismayed that my last visit was substantially less pleasing. I had an appointment booked to see a doctor with my 8 year old today. I was running a couple of minutes late and called ahead to let them know that I was definitely coming and was on my way. As usual the wait to have the call answered delayed me advising the staff I was going to be late. I was assured this was ok to still attend. We arrived 5 minutes late and booked in. Sat in the waiting room for 25 minutes waiting for our name to come up. The doctor we were waiting for did not call for one other patient whilst we were there. We had another appointment we simply could not miss. So after every other person that was in the waiting area before me was called I went to the reception and informed them that we had to leave. I was received with a shrug of the shoulders and the receptionist providing me with the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard considering my experiences with this surgery. The doctor had taken in another patient in those five minutes. I am not new to this surgery - NEVER has it ran on time even when I have had an appointment first thing in the morning. An hour wait is not unheard of - 20/30 minutes is normal. Even if the GP had taken in another patient they were in there for 25 minutes as no-one was called by that doctor whilst we were there. The GP's literally cant wait to get you out the door normally so it must have been a very special patient indeed! So this standard excuse was nonchalantly delivered with a shrug of the shoulders and the receptionist walked off back to her desk! I was late by minutes and had the courtesy of letting them know but another was 'allegedly' taken in. I would suggest that if you want your patients to show a little respect or courtesy then showing it back would be a good place to start and not treat us like idiots or waste our time. I lost 45 minutes waiting and travelling time to an appointment yet I must just accept it. Frankly next time I wont even bother turning up or calling if that is the response I am going to get. The doctors when you get to see them are fab - thats if you can get to them and can get past the 'holier than thou' attitude I was shown today. I was really disappointed with this latest encounter with the reception staff to the point that I didnt rebook as I was trying to fight the urge to give that receptionist a piece of my mind. Had I just been told that I was too late that would have been fine and I would have accepted that but don't treat me like I am an idiot. I have seen many a patient lose their temper in the reception and now I understand why and my sympathy for the staff was somewhat eroded today following this experience.

Reception staff were great when we registered as new patients. Staff were polite, helpful, and gave us good advice and information

Amazing surgery. Given me and my daughter the support we need when other surgeries haven't. Reception staff happy to help. Can't give them enough thanks for their help.
