Last Saturday I went there to to resolve an issue. I was very worried and I met an amazing woman called Mita who listened and helped me. She was super reassuring and truly love people and care about them. She helped me resolving my issue and was the kindness incarnated. I am thankful to her forever and she is a real asset to the team... if you see this Mita, thank you :
This has always been a very caring job centre, whenever I had to go in the last few years due to Covid…. I always felt supported and understood, every step of the way. Thank you.
Woman behind the desk today was rude. Complained about me having my "mask too high", you're supposed to cover your nose and mouth. : Also pressured me into talking, don't pressure people with anxiety into talking when you have the details right infront of you.
My coach Chris spent most of the time saying what he was good at and was very critical and rude about my CV saying that an employer would not give it a second glance. Sat for a few mins pointing out ONE typo error. Frankly, found it humiliating and understandable why people feel like they are nothing.
In my previous job; I used to liase with Jobcentre Plus and DWP staff on almost daily basis. Then, the atmosphere at Jobcentres was inhospitable and austere. When a close relative told me she had to visit Barnet Jobcentre. I advised her to leave her sense of dignity behind and prepare for harsh treatment. BUT, I was very wrong, she found the staff very courteous, helpful and professional. The Jobcentre is opened Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Except on Wednesday 10 am to 5 pm & close on weekends.

Supper helpful and supportive staff. Good access for people with disabilities. Clean and easy to get to.
Super unorganised my job coach messed up my dates, this resulted to me not being paid and missing several job interviews. Not impressed at all
Staff was really helpful and patient with me when I applied for the seeking allowance.
