First time having Scottish breakfast in Scotland so I cant really compare. But I love this place! Great value, big portions and a huge selection for every taste buds. Free refills is of course a big plus.nnThe perfect start for going hiking afterwards.
Had a great experience at great Glen. The food was tasty, well-portioned, and served quickly. Drinks were great too—plenty of options at really reasonable prices. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was efficient. It’s a solid spot for casual dining and drinks without breaking the bank. Would definitely come back!
Got an American burger and it was a frozen patty. Not a fresh packed one. The chips were good. Remember. You have to order at the bar and have a table number ready when you order. So figure out how to be in two places at once.
Good food and price, but not the quickest option if you're with a tour bus, as it's always full of groups. There are vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered a vegetarian brunch, and it was delicious, especially the sausages. Ordering can be tricky for not tech-savvy people, you need to scan a qr code or download the app and pay online.
My mates and I stopped here for dinner at the end of our Ben Nevis hike, as most of the other pubs nearby were packed and this was the only place with tables available. After a long day of walking, it was a welcome place to sit down, relax, and refuel.nnIt’s a Wetherspoons, so you pretty much know what to expect in terms of food and drink, nothing fancy, but reliable and filling. The menu had plenty of options, and the food came out fairly quickly despite how busy it was. The cheap pints were definitely appreciated after the hike, and the prices overall were reasonable.nnThe atmosphere was lively, with a mix of locals, hikers, and tourists, which gave it a good buzz. It might not be somewhere you’d go out of your way to visit, but as a post-hike stop for a hearty meal and affordable drinks, it did the job well.
