This is part of a small chain of pubs, one of the others I regularly enjoy is the Royal Albert in Deptford, so I thought let’s have a look at some of the other pubs in the group. The inside has the same feeling, sofas, old-fashioned big lampshades, definitely aimed at the younger people in the area. There was a band playing towards the end of my stay, but the music wasn't loud so conversation was fine. A wide range of various beers and ciders on draft, some I suspect will change with availability. I was with 3 others, and we decided to have food. No problems with the quality and prices, I had the burger and chips, it was quickly cooked, well presented and good value. The pub wasn't busy on a Tuesday night, but the crowd inside created a nice atmosphere. Good, friendly staff too.
It's a nice place in a very shabby way, full of battered table and chairs, sofas and tables. The food was lovely and a great selection of non alcoholic drinks which was a nice surprise. It does have a bit of a funky smell when you walk in, but you soon forget about it Board games are available to play so you can really stay and relax there. We had live music during my visit.
Decent place, relaunched recently now with a better selection of beers and a new menu
Sunday veggie roast is very nice and, for 9 quid, isn't bad price for London. Was a bit cold inside when we went, otherwise nice place, even if it's bordering on middle class hipster-dom.
This is a trendy pub/bar just a short walk from Crofton Park station. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and good vibes! We visited on a Friday evening and were treated to some rather good upbeat jazz. The selection of drinks was pretty good, although I didn’t try the food. Highly recommended to sample the atmosphere of SE London!
We went here for a pub quiz a couple of weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. The space is nice and the staff is super friendly. Food is good. The only thing is that the music could be a bit too loud sometimes. I would really recommend this local pub.
I love Jam Circus. The venue itself is a decent size, there's plenty of craft on draft, the food is bloody amazing and the staff always appear to be happy. I had the steak pie which was enough for two people and thoroughly delicious to boot. Best pub in the area by miles.
Sunday lunch was great, I had the free range chicken, even the veg was good, not overcooked loved grilled cabbage- sounds odd but works wonderfully. In our party we had Lamb Tbone, Beetroot patty and the feedback I got was thumbs up. Pretty cheap for London, friendly service. Very informal place.
This is my local I love it on the basis that is good standard food with a great atmosphere, it can be peaceful with many people and background music or it can be also busy packed and fun. It cares about its community as there many meetings events and social gatherings. The Jam Circus is an all around good local pub!
Food was unimpressive. I had a burger which came with a massive plop of mayo I don't like mayo and also came with some weird pasta sauce tasting red stuff that I think was supposed to be a homemade ketchup. If i had know it came with these I would have ordered without but I didn't notice anywhere on the menu any mention of sauces in the toppings. Burger flavor itself was uninspiring and the chips were only saving thing. Drink wise however, there was a great selection of ales and I had a fantastic jasmine green tea blonde ale that was divine.
