Usually when I visit a town or city I try my best to visit Chinese or Asian restaurant but when I visited Waterford I discovered that there were not many options available to me and I discovered that many restaurants that attracted my attention closed at or did not take orders later than 9pm. I asked the receptionist at my hotel to suggest a restaurant and she said that the Jade Palace might be a good idea and as it was nearby I decided to give it a try. The entrance is confusing and off-putting, they really should replace the carpet on the stairs. I would describe this restaurant itself as an old style Chinese restaurant that does not pretend to be Asian Fusion or anything other than what it is. The dining area is very dark and a bit rundown. The staff were excellent but these days that is what I expect when I visit any restaurant in a major town or city in Ireland. The days of rude Chinese staff is long gone. The food was good but not special.
Terrible!! we went as a group and the waitress got every single order wrong! not one of us got anything we ordered and when we said it - they refused to correct it as they said the chef wanted to go home, we picked at some of the food but it was awful too - and really over priced! it was actually the first time ive ever actually left a restaurant without leaving a tip - it was that disappointing! DONT GO HERE!

I love the place because there is a tourist place there to great dinner great service
