Forget Binley Mega Chippy, Jack Spratts is the real deal when it comes to Fish and Chips. The best in town.
The best Traditional English chippy in Oldham. You can never go wrong with JackSpratts.
This is the size of the regular cod £5.20 uber for the fish alone. Tiny and overcooked. Called the owner, started arguing with me. First and last time ordering from there.
First off try their homemade stuff cheese and onion pie and rag pudding they are the best me and my husband have ever had. The fish is lovely too. I've never liked fish but my husband got me to try his and for the first time in my life I didn't hate it. It was really nice. If I could give more stars I would. Best chippy I've ever been to.
Jack sprat has the amazing customer service all the staff are really polite and the owner is very humble and friendly with everyone. They all give you a nice good welcome. The staff and owner are very good. I am truly pleased. Food is also amazing very tasty and fresh. Will definitely be using these guys on a regular basis thank you guys and I definitely recommend to anyone.
Great chippy! First time ordering from here off Uber eats. Homemade rag pudding, chips peas n gravy & haddock, chips, peas n tartare sauce. Packaged individually and not soggy as others usually are! Absolutely be trying again.
Best chippy ever. Fish fried fresh every time. Great chips and Delicious home made cheese & onion pie. Meat products fried separately and shop is very clean. Friendly staff and owner is a character. This is THE place for your chippy tea
First time trying this place, chips and fish both underdone. Batter was soggy and just needed longer in the fryer. It was busy so maybe trying to serve people quicker? But no good if the food isn't nice!
For me this is the best chippy! You don't get fish and chips better than this anywhere. Even the pies, the gravy, curry sauce! It's ALL perfect! The owner is a real character as well, very, friendly, charismatic and welcoming! I used to crave this place when I lived 12,000 miles away in NZ!
Cheese and onion pie very nice. Cod in batter not so good. Batter was not usual standard - light and crispy, it was more like Yorkshire pudding batter! Too thick and fish was not good all the way through. Didn't enjoy that chippy tea!
