"Iris Optical is an independent opticians with two stores in London. We began life in 1999 online-only, operating from what is now our Tower Bridge store; our business model was to offer the latest, greatest designer eyewear as affordably as possible - our unique selling point being thin, anti-reflective prescription lenses free of charge with all frames. We soon learned that customers wanted to physically try on frames before deciding on which to purchase and so we opened our premises to the public shortly afterwards - and kept our 'free lenses' deal. Many years later, we still offer free, top-quality prescription lenses with most frames - and we now also offer eye tests and contact lens consultations in both stores."

I was long overdue a visit the opticians. In fact the last time had been 6 years ago. I was so impressed back then, I thought I would go back to that original place. Only I couldn't remember the name and they had moved location. Nonetheless, I really had been impressed, so I did some super sleuthing, found them again and went to visit in a location not really very convenient for me. I was not disappointed. They were great. Friendly, authoritative and efficient. I fully recommend.
This is the fourth pair of glasses that I have made at Iris Optical - a reglazed mykita frame with a prescription violet mirror. I have always found their customer service fantastic and they are always willing to go the extra mile for unusual requests. The prices are extremely competitive. Overall I am really happy with the quality of workmanship!
So professional, so friendly , and a lovely vibe. Great location near Tower Bridge and the Thames. an easy spot of you are a tourist who needs an optometrist I needed prescription sunglasses lenses replaced as quickly as possible and Iris optical had them done in less than 48 hours. Everywhere else I tried said 5-12 days . It felt like very personal service , too, so if you don’t want to feel like you are on a production line go here . It’s also a lovely set up . My friend was selecting new frames and there was no pressure , we felt like we could take as much time as she needed . No rushing . Add it to a day out Go here and then walk 2 minutes down to Butlers Wharf and sit looking at the Thames. Loads of restaurants and bars.
Quick, friendly service. I had a thorough eye test and got a new pair of lenses fitted into frames I already had - everything was fast and affordable. Very happy!
Great selection of frames. I was expecting it would take a week to fit my prescription like in other places but it was done on the spot in just 10 minutes! Very attentive and friendly service and everything was explained to me really well.
Very nice staff, unusual designer frames cheaper than Clulows. Staff spent time helping me pick out frames I am very happy with. Contact lenses also a lot cheaper than buying online. Get your specs here and support a local business.
I have used Iris optical for a few years now. They are very friendly and always look after me very well. This time apart from helping me with my new prescription, both my glasses and sun glasses they offered to do my lens in my reading glasses for free! Very good service indeed.
