Received incredible service in here and loads of amazing frames. This was my first time getting glasses, and I'd been into several other places which were nowhere near as good as here. I love that they specify each frame coming in different sizes. When I was in there the service everyone else got was also amazing - two other people commented on how great it was. Great work to everyone there!
This is the best eye test experience I've had. The optometrist, Sam, was incredibly friendly, helpful and exceptionally competent. He really went above and beyond, conducting a very thorough test. When he spotted something potentially concerning at the back of my eye, he went out of his way to track down information from previous eye tests I'd had done elsewhere. I'll certainly be getting all eye tests done here in future.
Had my eyes tested. The service was top tier. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was a bit nervous because I had never had an eye test before so I found all the equipment a bit intimidating but the Jasveena was very patient with me and made me feel very relaxed. I also got to meet two of the store managers Katie and Chel who were on the shop floor at the time, they were lovely, gave me some advice on sun glasses. Although, the test showed that I do not need prescription glasses, I will definitely be back soon to purchase some sun glasses.
I visited on 11 February, needing help to pick some frames, as I don’t know what suits my face shape, skin tone etc. Alfie figured out the best weight, colour and size of frame for me, gave me a few different options for work/leisure and I left with two excellent options. Really friendly and skilled service, thank you Alfie.
Excellent customer service. Eye test was expertly conducted, clear, honest and really informative. We really like the quality of spectacles here and the price is really affordable
Magicians who can turn 300 quid into 650 in the blink of an eye. Came in for a couple of pairs of 150 glasses - one for far, one for near. Ended up with a 600 quid single pair of varifocals in the blink of an eye, 650 with eye test. The test itself was very good and very thorough. After the test though, it all got a little pear shaped. The assistant in the shop, very trendily, was about as disinterested and blasé as she could be in serving me. After getting a few pairs from downstairs it definitely felt like I was getting in her way from whatever she was doing on the laptop. After deciding I would try VFs on the promise I have 30 days to change my mind the price jumped very rapidly. Rubbish 300 ones - sure. But how about an upgrade to thinner? Yup. Then an upgrade to better VF lenses? Yup. Another jump. In a blink, including the eye test, the specs were a eye watering 650. Did I get a free magazine after walking out dazed and confused that they had been busily packing into bags around me? Nope, you guessed it. Have the glasses now. They lovely. 600 quid lovely? Not in the slightest.
Fantastic experience in the Soho shop near Carnaby Street today. Excellent service and advice given on my orders; my prescription was checked against my current glasses and had a head scan to ensure the lenses will be in the best position. Good value for money, with a local company. Looking forward to receiving my prescription glasses.
I live in Ireland but I ordered a pair of prescription glasses online, and I love them! Staff were very helpful. I would’t get glasses from anywhere else.
Never thought I'd be reviewing an optometrist, but then all my experiences of buying new glasses were done in other opticians which always felt clinical and transactional. This particular branch of Cubitts, and I went to a few looking for frames, absolutely has the most helpful and pleasant staff in probably almost any shop I've ever been to. Their eye test is easily the most comprehensive and informative I've ever had, and I've been wearing glasses since I could walk, and Rakhi, the optometrist, is genuinely the most lovely and capable optometrist I've ever met. She really seemed to take the time to be thorough and answered all my questions about the tests, even sending me some info about my particular eye-related concerns after the test. Fully recommend.
Great experience, helpful and fun team to get me to the perfect pair of glasses!
