Located near Covent Garden and busy streets, Inner Space is an oasis of tranquility. Ground level consists of a shop selling books, posters and CDs related to meditation and non religious spiritual matters. The Basement has a meeting space where free talks and workshop's are given on various personal development matters. There is also a quiet room for the public to use to unwind. Staffed are congenial and welcoming. In addition to on-site events Inner Space hold free talks at other venues.
Lovely spot hidden away from the hustle of London. I popped in for a 30 minute meditation yesterday in the quiet room which was a lovely pause during a day out in London. There are also lots of lovely books covering from children to adults. Well worth dropping in here!
Unbelievably calm place in one of the busiest areas in London. Interestingly this is what meditation does - feel calm while being busy. Loved this place.
After Lockdown this space is even more necessary! an oasis of calm, a great place, THE place to be introduced to meditation and the Brahma Kumaris wonderful content, free lectures online, amazing space!
Quiet and welcoming place to meditate
I only popped in to have a quick look for some inspiration, The lady thereunfortunately didn't catch her name was extremely welcoming and hugely helpful. I left with plenty of information to continue with my mindfulness journey. Thank-you!
Before I got into meditation, I struggled to make time for it. I thought it was a bit of a fad and therefore it didn't deserve much of my time - I could be optimising my time for other productive tasks. Then, I did a meditation retreat and without getting into the nitty-gritty, let's just say it really changed my perspective - That there's a Monkey-mind at play in my life apparently many others' too, which was something I recognised intellectually but never grasped its modus operandi. Now I try to make time to meditate daily, but it isn't easy. In the hustle and bustle of the grinding life in London, you'd be hard-pressed to find a quiet space non other than the cubical disabled toilet with noise-cancelling earphones - Which is not ideal. As others have mentioned, this place is an Oasis in a concrete jungle. The meditation classes are free donation-based. So if you are thinking about trying it out for the first time - Just put your name down, turn-up on the day, and be guided through the practice. And when you finish your practice, I am sure you'll find more wakeful moments in in your day to pause, notice and enjoy whatever it is you're doing more mindfully.
Love this place. So amazing to have a bolt hole in the middle of bustling london where you can go to sit in slience and chill. Thanks to all those who make this possible its so deeply appreciated by many.
Cute little place + highly recommend
The quiet room is an oasis. Thank you please never close.
