The food and service at Ting is brilliant. We visited for a special occasion and Chris took care of us. He provided a brilliant service from start to finish! The food was very nice, especially the beef tataki! And the views were amazing. We had a window seat and the whole evening was excellent and without any faults. We went for the 3 course meal and everything was nice and cooked perfectly. They also have non alcoholic rose which tasted good! Vegetarian options: Decent selection of veg, halal, vegan. Parking: Paid bays and side street parking but free parking after 6:30pm Wheelchair accessibility: Lift available and also spacious in the restaurant.
Solid 4 stars. Food is okay. Scones were a bit dry. “The Shard” dessert was a bit grainy in texture. All the rest were good though. Service could be better. I have to ask for certain items twice due to slow service. I asked for a refill of peach puree which never came. There’s so many to choose from and I ended up forgetting about that peach puree. My daughter requested for hot chocolate and we didn’t get it until the end when we already paid and signed the bill. My daughter actually forgot that she ordered the choco because she was already full but that’s beside the point. One should expect better service when you pay for so much. The view/atmosphere is definitely a 5/5.
We went to the ‘Bees in Bloom’ afternoon tea at Ting and it was absolutely blooming amazing! Savoury components were delicious and the decorative dessert parts were stunning. They not only looked stunning, they tasted amazing as well. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our waiter Freddy was lovely- attentive and very responsive. Stunning views- had great views of Tower Bridge from our table. All in all was great fun. Would highly recommend the experience
Tried out the tasting menu, it wasn't bad but thought the food could've been more flavoursome for the price. Personally, I wasn't really feeling the fusion aspect of the cuisine. The service and setting was 5 stars though, can't fault that aspect of it.
I visited in mid June and had the afternoon tea set. The view was amazing as well as the restaurant atmosphere. Each of us had a glass of champagne for a welcome drink, and the food quality was excellent. Service was great - server kindly explained everything on the menu. View, drinks, and food were fantastic, great for special occasions
My friend booked us a table at Ting. We were offered the sharing menu which is priced at £98 per head. We had to request the a la carte menu, which seemed surprising that it was not offered alongside the sharing menu. Looking at the price of dishes, the sharing menu looked more economical for the 3 of us. The view was spectacular as expected in the Shard. The food is tasty and generously sized. However, the let down was the service, it took a long time between starter and the mains. There seemed to be a lack of staff despite being quite quiet on a Wednesday. I would say it is worth visiting for food but expect a long service.
This is a fantastic place! We arrived late in the afternoon, early for dinner. Decided to have drinks before dinner, switched to tea, and stayed for dinner. Everything was top quality and the flavors were interesting and amazing! The service at every level was absolutely top notch. Giannis, who seems to be one of the managers, was also extraordinary. For the afternoon tea there was a live singing, and needless to see the view was amazing! We will definitely be back.
The views here are UNMATCHED. So beautiful and perfect during sunset. But man I have to admit, this restaurant as far and food quality failed miserably. Truly saddened that our last meal in London was not a tasty one. Very overpriced meals and underwhelming flavor. And I honestly don’t care if places don’t offer birthday desserts, but the currant jelly that was offered was sadly not very pleasant. But man the best place to see the city of London!
Went there for a special marriage anniversary that we’ve been looking forward to for months. The location and the hotel itself is amazing with stunning views. But the service was below average I would say if we are talking about the prices they are charging. We were disappointed by the service as we had so many little inconveniences but no one from that staff was attentive enough to spot it or to correct it when it appeared. We were walked to a table near the window that was so much darker than the table next to us which was decorated romantically and we thought that’s for us considering that we informed them about our anniversary. We were given the dark table but they acknowledged our anniversary then. Other small things that let us down: E.g we booked an a la carte menu, but were given 3-course set menu. We came with jackets and left them on our chairs, no one offered to put those in the clock room until we asked for. We were served bread and butter after a table that arrived 10min after us. We were given a second time bread and butter but a lady dressed in black cleared off the plates and then brought them back realising that we want more bread and only then the lady offered to put the napkins on our laps. When the starters arrived the light on our table was soo bad compared with the next table and we pulled up our phones and to take a picture of the food - again, no one spotted our little inconvenience. After that we asked to change the table as we’d like to see what we’re eating. After we finished our mains which took more than 1.5h to arrive since we stepped in the restaurant. After finishing the mains which were very delicious our table was cleared, but I had to ask Efean to come and clean it again as there were still some leftovers on the table. When setting the table, the lady provided us with spoons and one of them remained on the table until the desert came - no one updated the table cutlery correctly and finally gave it back to Efean when the desert arrived. For a £200 dinner we didn’t feel valued much and we are not super fancy eaters or to complain about as we’ve tried thousands of restaurants all over the world. Upon our departure Eafon listened to our comments and apologies on the name of team and we left a tip only for him as the others shouldn’t be in a 5*/1 Michelin Star Restaurant. Recommendation: please hire more staff and think about the furniture that you buy as they make or break a customer’s experience- I was with my knees in my neck the entire meal as their tables and seats are tooo small/low.
Went for an afternoon tea yesterday. Beautiful place! The afternoon tea was lovely. The service at the shard never fails to impress me. The staff at this restaurant were lovely. A very enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
