I absolutely love going to IKEA Glasgow for coffee. They don’t do decaf and they don’t do many vegan treats or gluten-free, but I go anyway because it’s such a lovely experience. The seating area is extensive, and I really like the bit at the back where there are sofas and nice lighting with a good view of the hills outside. There’s quite a chill vibe and there’s even paras sockets if you want to work or do something with your laptop. When we go in the morning, there is generally lots of seats. They have a good selection of pastries. If you don’t have the gluten problem I do, but there is some fruit and various things available for people who are intolerant. The price of things in the café is also ridiculously cheap and you can have unlimited refills of coffee and tea. As a haiku: Coffee on demand, Hills view, pastries, seats abound, Work, relax, sip, calm.
Love this place. If you're going to stroll around you'll need an entire day to do so. I use the deli shop for quick purchases of delicatessen frozen foods and a good vibe. Easy accessable by it's own door but connected to the big hustle and bustle shopping centre. You got everything you need for an entire day out, coffee/tea, food, and great stuff you never knew existed.
Had the best cinnamon roll of my life from the wee take-away cafe bit downstairs. The 1kg bags of meatballs are a bit expensive though at £7.50 when you can buy Swedish meatballs from Tesco for £5.75 for the same weight bag and they taste the exact same I got some from the IKEA cafe. Seemingly no way to get back upstairs without going back to the start of the store from what I could tell so was unable to get everything I went in for as by the time we got all the way round the ground floor we were at the checkout and too exhausted to go back in and all the way around again to get the one thing I needed. Had fun while there though, will be back, just wish that if there were other ways to get upstairs that there was a sign to point this out the same way as they have arrows to guide you through the store.
Amazing. I'm still in it now, as it is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to buy my Poäng chair, and it has the best café in Glasgow. Edit: I changed my mind and have gone for the Strandmon.
The other day, I visited IKEA, one of the largest furniture stores in the world. Even though I had a clear idea of what I wanted to buy, I found myself lost in the vastness of the store. With a limited amount of time on my hands, I was getting anxious and frustrated. Fortunately, I stumbled upon a friendly and helpful staff member named Donald. I approached him and explained my situation. He was incredibly patient and listened carefully to my needs. He then expertly guided me to the exact locations of the items I needed, and even shared some useful tips on how to maximize my shopping experience. He made sure that everything I was looking for was available and in stock. Furthermore, he showed me the most efficient route to the checkout counter, which saved me a lot of time and effort. I was able to finish my shopping quickly, thanks to his excellent service. Overall, the store was amazing, but it was Donald's exceptional customer service that made my experience even better. I am grateful for his help, and I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for quality furniture and excellent service. Great job, Donald!
Have just visited the store and was absolutely delighted with every interaction I had with all members of staff in all areas. You have renewed my faith that fantastic customer service still exists. What a great team of staff you have.
I bough multiple items, two of them came damaged. The website does not allow me to exchange the item. On the website there is a page that allegedly should let me change a broken item. However, it does not matter what I answer I always get the picture attached. It impresses me to see so many good reviews for such a poor service. The phone service tells me that I should wait, on average 30 min on the queue. As I don't have a car, it seems that I am forced to pay the price of new products for broken ones.
Try and visit this place and not spend any money. Can be crowded at times so if you have anxiety check peak times and avoid. Feels like a bit of a maze, so give yourself plenty of time to navigate the store. Everything for the home available. Felt queues were horrendous and felt like giving up. Food court on site. Plenty of parking.
Who doesn’t like a wander round, getting lost in your imagination in all the demo rooms only to purchase exactly what you went for. And of course no trip is complete without a hot dog at the end.
It's ok, nothing to get excited about. Staff were not great, at the till the wee guy talked to his mate the whole time we were at the checkout. Took twice as long as it should have. I did a click and collect a few days later, the signage is really bad, no mention outside the doors to tell you where to go. It just says "Returns" nothing about click n collect.
