Had to visit emergency foot clinic, waited under a hour, receptionist kind and helpful, podiatrist I saw a miracle worker, had been in agony for three months and one visit here was amazed at the difference by next day. Would definitely recommend.
I left work as early as I could today to have an urgent blood test I am a teacher, so I dont have flexible time off during term time. The paperwork I was given stated that the clinic ran until 16.45pm, and I arrived at 16.30pm. It had said nothing about arriving early at the end of the day in case the clinic shuts any earlier. Reception told me to ask the two ladies who were taking blood and I tried to explain the situation to see if I could be seen, but they were both really aggressive and rude to me. They were raising their voices, ranting about their work load, which I totally understand have been really challenging for NHS staff recently, but it came across so aggressively. I had just asked them nicely if it was possible. One was repeatedly shouting no no no at me. It was the worst patient care I have ever experienced - usually NHS staff are amazing, I was really shocked and felt horrible. I will go to the hospital for blood tests in the future :
Went with gp letter for blood test. V good service in and out in less than 5 mins
First floor Receptionist told me sit down and wait. I waited 1 hour and decided to investigate myself. I found out I was waiting in the wrong place and I was subsequently late for my appointment. After my appointment I decided to confront the receptionist. He proceeded to just protest rather than apologies for his wrongdoing. I left dismayed at how rude that particular receptionist was. Unbelievable!!!
Went for a blood test here. The listed opening hours are incorrect I have uploaded photos of opening times!. The blood test area is on the first floor ask at the front desk and follow the signs and is open 8:30am - 4:30pm. You can get a self service ticket before they open so it’s worth going early! Staff were polite at the blood test area, I did not visit the GP or use any other services other than phlebotomy blood tests
awful reception staff!! was very rude!!! Yes i was 7 min late for my appointment which I needed because of a sprained ankle...was told you are over 10 min late, when I showed reception time which showed I was under 10 min late, she changed it to 'you were over 6 min late' This is the NHS, have compassion....you could see I was limping and sweating due to pain.
Really bad experience with a simple blood test. Phlebotomist was simply not experienced enough and a senior colleague needed to step in. Very disappointing.
I have been using this practice for over 2 years now, they are much better than all the others I have been to. Yes there were times the environment was really tensed up and staff t the reception were rude but now I have noticed a change . The doctors are very professional and willing to help. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a practice to register at.
Really nice modern Medical Centre in the heart of Streatham. There are two doctors surgeries based here, The Exchange Surgery and Streatham High Practice. There are also other clinics based here including: Bladder and bowel specialist nursing clinic. Blood Tests adult phlebotomy. Electrocardiogram ECG. ECHO diagnostic service. Diabetes one-stop clinic. Diabetic eye screening programme SEL DESP Glaucoma monitoring service. High risk obstetric clinic. Children's vision clinic. Heart failure clinic.
The incompetence of this Health and Social really don't Care department knows no bounds. A basic knowledge of anatomy would be helpful for them to understand their arse from their elbow, and some basic communication skills could, over time, raise the standard of the service from inadequate to ineffectual.
