Recently I was at the Bay, I was on the hunt for a new perfume, and was in a real rut having worn the same two scents for 20 years. The woman who assisted me, Anita, was not only wonderfully helpful but fun. Asking me questions about my likes, bringing several options- I purchased two more, but what really impressed me is how she went above and beyond giving nice size samples, that Sephora charges for hint hint, plus you get bonus points you can save or cash in on next visit. The samples were so awesome I have returned to purchase those as well. Good service goes a long way, as does taking an interest in what and who you are selling to as Anita at HBC more than managed. I actually love the Bay.
"That was the worst customer service ever. I went to the store yesterday before closing had passed. My mother was willing to return an item, but they said the receipt did not match the label on the item even though it was clearly the correct item. Are you serious? Neither the cashier nor the security guards had their name tags on, which is against Hudson Bay policy. When I asked the security guard for his name, he refused to provide it. This is totally unacceptable and against the law. The security at this location does not seem to understand Canadian law. I would advise management to train their security staff on Canadian law before allowing them to work. It is better than losing customers and millions of dollars due to unintelligent employees. I do not recommend shopping at this location and would never send anyone there. It is look like there is a mafa there. I would like to speak to the store manager to discuss how they can improve their customer service and make the shopping experience better.
i didnt wanna post but how else can i reach the management of hudson bay, especially at LANCOME dept., i wanted to buy cream, i was standing by their kiosk, and then tried to look for a staff they all act busy,, disappointed , i just went to shoppers drugmart and buy from there,, it happens most of the time.
The store does not open until 11am on weekends now, which is a bit late. Only some areas of the women's clothing are displayed in a neat manner. The purse section is often a mess. It is worth the extra drive up to Masonville if you need something at The Bay.
I generally do not post reviews that are not about positive experiences that I have had. My entire goal through my reviews are to highlight positive experiences with name recognition for employees that were excellent customer service professionals. I believe that constructive feedback and assistance in less than satisfactory instances can be conveyed first to representives of the organization to assist with matters. However, this circumstance has left me truly disappointed. Over the course of weeks in the end of 2023, I began reaching out to The Bay and The Time Shop reps in The Bay location. I had my batteries replaced in 2 of my watches at this location. My watches were originally purchased internationally, but since being in London and it seemed like simple battery fix, I was okay with minor work done locally. I originally had the batteries changed at the Whiteoaks shop. When I noticed that my watches had stopped working I assumed the warranty might have passed, but I could still take it back to check and even pay to replace again. After connecting with on-site staff different from individual who worked there before and completed the original battery change, it came to light that the batteries placed in my watches by the staff no longer at location were not authentic batteries used by Time Shop according to staff there. I was told that that they were cheap batteries and not what the company uses. When I thought I was finding out about warranty periods, I was instead finding out that some fraudulent activity or service was provided to me originally. I have spoken to agents at Time shop, and management of the Bay to seek assistance with rectifying the matter with no success. Ultimately, my recommendations if you had watch work done in the past at this location even from 2022: confirm that the work was done properly, always get emailed receipts or take photos they apparently don't have proper internal tracking systems so your copy of receipt is truly all you have, and keep track of all details of transactions including agents name even if service was not spectacular you simply may need it again. Worst case scenario, the past rep knowing the faults in the internal system might have used opportunity to take authentic batteries and swap with cheaper supplies. Either way, I was taken back by the situation, the details that came up, and the way it was handled.
Nice variety of clothes. Found some good pieces and good jewelry. Cahiers can be bit more friendly than just standing and billing. Liked the variety in store here.
Great service and good assortment of quality products. Prices in promotions are actually quite good. I liked the selection on baby clothing and was surprised to see the variety in the toys section. The store is well organized and the staff is friendly.
Marwa in the men's department had to be the most amazing associate ever . While dealing with a obnoxious arrogant customer , her patience and calmness during that half hour exchange was amazing . I would have told that customer to shove that underwear that he was buying where the sun don't shine . No associate deserve to be treated like that BE NICE TO ASSOCIATES ......
Misleading Advertising: Placard clearly showed 40% Off, but I got shocked to know “No Discount” at billing counter. One can’t read exclusions as font size of exclusions is so small. This is deliberately done to mislead the customers and one of the best ways to make customers fool.
Dealing with the BAY has been the worst experience of my life!! trying to get a refund since January 9th 2024! On something I physically returned to them on January 8th 2024. -> DONT BUY HUDSON BAY COMPANY! it's March 1st 2024 and they can't do anything!! They have the product and I'm out $$$$. Worst COMPANY! Yes the product was in mint perfect condition, just didn't fit. The Bay had two employees check it over January 8th 2024 before leaving the store and they said it's perfect I can leave and I'll see the refund in 10 buissness days! It's NOW March 1st! No refund. No product. OH KICKER. The Bay manager can't do anything!
